Hey Upper East Siders, Gossip Girl here and do I have the biggest news for you? Spotted: Blair Waldorf... I mean, Leighton Meester debuts a brand new haircut. Looks like Queen B just confirmed micro-bangs are back on trend...
OK, GG nostalgia aside (sorry, not sorry), in March, Leighton took to the Shazam! Fury Of The Gods premiere alongside her husband, Adam Brody, to celebrate his role as 'Super Hero Freddy'. And as thrilled as we were for hubby Meester – congrats were in order, ofc – what we could not stop staring at was Leighton's extra short fringe. After all, it was the first time she showed off the new look publicly.
And now, just short of five months later, the actor has taken the ~literal~ bang bang look to the next level with a chic Parisian twist.
But before we get to the grand reveal, to compare, let's reminisce on her 2022 cut:
In comparison to March's red carpet version:
And now, introducing the star's most recent look with je ne sais quoi:
Everyone's clicking on...
Channelling the last of the summer season in style, the star has opted to pair her hairstyle with a classic French red lip. I mean, this entire look ('fit included) just screams a stroll down the Champs-Élysées.
Now, as tempting as it is to band micro-fringes with the 50s era, many celebrities have proven their timeless feel having resurrected the style within the last few years. Just take Florence Pugh and Lily Collins' latest hair looks as prime examples!
However, unlike these two girlies, in true BW fashion and going against the grain, Leighton has opted to style her cut with her locks down and in loosely curled chest-length waves. This effortless 'do, accompanied by her vintage-style fringe is giving us all the new szn hairspo.
IDK about you guys but I'm booking in with my local salon as we speak!
