While yesterday may have been a typical Monday for the majority (read: a coffee-filled slump to start the week), in the glitz and the glam world of celebrities, A-listers were most probably still reeling from the prior night's antics... aka, the 2023 Academy Awards.
In terms of the night's beauty highlights (no pun intended), Chrissy Teigen, Michelle Williams and Lady Gaga's star-studded 'dos were all standouts but one that takes the cake – or should I say: made waves – for it's glass-like shine was Billie Eilish's jellyfish cut.
Accompanying her new hair debut, the singer attended the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty alongside her boyfriend Jesse Rutherford, who sported a suave suit to match Billie's billowing black Rick Owens gown. See all that I'm describing below:
And yes, that is Jesse wearing clown makeup on the world's greatest red carpet... IDK either, guys.
Now, you may be wondering what Billie's 'jellyfish' cut entails because by the looks of things, we're sans-sea creatures. Well, the style in question is a hybrid one that brings the best of two looks together. Think: a combination of long mullet layers with a bowl cut technique to frame the face. Oh, and as I'm sure you can assume, it takes name from its resemblance to the shape of a jellyfish, duh!
The shape and contrasting lines of Billie's lengths are a perfect example of how to wear bi-level layers.
Although a full product breakdown is yet to be given, our favourite for a shine similar to the star's above is the Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, £24.65. Spritz into wet locks and activate its properties with heat for the most perfect glossy finish.
Et voilà! Don't say I never treat ya...
