We all know that blonde hair requires a lot of maintenance. Especially, if your natural hair colour falls within darker tones, like brunette or black. For many, when those roots grow through, it usually signals the need for another appointment at the hair salon. Though, Kim Kardashian and her beauty influence is proving that doesn't need to be the case. We thank you, greatly, Kim.

Allow me to contextualise. Back in May, Kim rocked our world by debuting a brand new blonde hair look at the 2022 Met Gala. And ever since, she has kept up with the platinum, seemingly dying her hair every so often. Now, disclaimer: she hasn't explicitly given us the low-down on her routine (boo!) but just by looking at her recent looks, like her 'after boat' hairdo and her shortest *ever* bob, the upkeep is A1.

However, that is until we saw her latest Instagram post. In new pics, Kim is serving brown root realness that stood out even more against her contrasting white-silver lengths:

Yep, her darker roots are a big part of the look. Of course, Kim isn't the first person in the world to go outside with overgrown roots but it's refreshing to see a high-profile celeb rocking theirs. Fans also took to the comments to praise Kim's outgrown hair:

One fan wrote: "@kimkardashian I see dark roots !👏🏻👏🏻💇🏻‍♀️💇🏻‍♀️ ✔️✔️🤎 #brunettesdoitbetter 🇮🇹".

Another added: "OK Kim I see you with those roots 🙌".

Everyone's clicking on...

While one more said: Love you rocking your outgrown roots".

Side note: The hair and 'fit coordination is just *chef's kiss*, too.

With autumn fast approaching and celebrities dying their hair darker for the change in season, I'm suddenly very tempted to dye my hair. Maybe a twist on the iconic pumpkin spiced shade? I have Lily James to thank for that one.
