Little Mix dropped a teaser of their new music video on social media earlier this week, and fans were naturally buzzing to hear a snippet of the girls' latest single, Sweet Melody. They were also quick to point out Perrie Edwards' dramatic new hair transformation...

Usually known for her signature centre part (or a side-sweep if she's feeling risqué), Perrie has obviously been inspired by our endless coverage of celebrities getting fringes cut in.

And if you need proof that fringe season is in full swing, here goes: Courteney Cox got a '90s "Monica" fringe and Jennifer Lopez opted for a slightly earlier decade with '70s bangs. We couldn't stop staring at Taylor Swift's curly fringe, and we're still not over Alicia Keys' blunt-fringe transformation.

The latest celebrity to jump on the fringe bandwagon (and possibly our fave of the bunch), is Michelle Keegan, who had hairdresser Calum Tierney work his magic, chopping in heavy, Bardot-esque hair pieces that framed her face beautifully.

Perrie's bold new look sees her long hair worn down in gentle mermaid waves, with an eye-skimming fringe subtlety feathered, with longer layers at the outer corners.

And let's just say, her fans approved...

Everyone's clicking on...

One Insta follower commented: "Perrie WITH BANGS👏🏼"

Others were quick to follow with the compliments, saying: "Omg Perrie with bangs😍" and "PERRIES HAIR 😍"

"Perrie with a fringe is something I never knew I needed," added a third.

She then went on to post a much clearer picture on her own Instagram on Thursday ahead of the single's release, and it appeared to have grown out slightly, covering her eyes and with a more uniform length to it.

She captioned the post: "Sweet melody drops midnight BITCHESSS 😜" but fans were still talking about her hair!

We salute your new fringe, Perrie, and all who reap joy from simply staring at it...
