Michelle Keegan changed from brunette to honey blonde highlights

It's fair to say Michelle Keegan's had a pretty eventful month, spending the last fortnight self-isolating following an enviable trip to Spain - not to mention her departure from and subsequent cancellation of Our Girl, the BBC's military drama that's been on air since 2013.

Mich has continued the string of change-ups with an equally striking hair overhaul - after being a deep brunette for as long as we can remember, she's switched it up and opted for the most gorgeous honey-blonde look.

Beaut as it is, this latest update is kinda unsurprising for a couple of reasons - firstly, honey-blonde is colour that's been a favourite for heaps of famous faces, from Kate Middleton to basically all of the Kardashians at some point.

Secondly, it makes a lot of sense that, now Michelle isn't tied into an acting contract, she'd have more freedom to play around with different styles and colours - and we're so glad to see she's enjoying experimenting.

Thirdly - this barely-there blonde effect, with halo highlights and subtle balayage is the perfect solution for those with super-rich brown hair like Michelle, looking to break things up and add some summery texture into thick hair.

All in all, it's a triumph.
