ICYMI, this weekend the YouTube beauty community was rocked, and no, Laura Lee wasn't anywhere near the scandal... This time, the drama was all about James Charles and Tati Westbrook.
Yup, after fellow YouTuber, Tati Westbrook uploaded a scathing 45 min video detailing why she's 'ending her friendship' with the 19-year-old, the beauty community preeetty much imploded.
In the video, Tati explained that she felt "really used", she went on to share how both her and her husband have helped James countless times throughout the years - particularly when he was starting out in the industry. However, despite being close friends for years, she no longer wants to be associated with him.
“There is so much going on with James Charles right now that I don’t agree with. Fame, power and a fat bank account will change almost anyone and if you don’t have people that will tell you to your face that you’re doing the wrong things, you will change.
"I tried to be that person for you James, I really tried. I don’t think there’s any getting through to you and I don’t want to be friends with you, I don’t want to be associated with you and I need to say that very publicly so that this chapter can just be closed.”
Since Tati posted the video, everyone from Jeffree Star to Zara Larsson have weighed in on the drama, and it's taking a big toll on James Charles' subscriber count. He's lost 2.6 million followers in 2 days and the Daily Mail have now reported he's 'gone into hiding'.
Everyone's clicking on...
James was last seen leaving a fan event on Saturday at the Gold Coast Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Australia, but he's not been spotted since.
He took to his YouTube channel directly after the Tati posted her 'Bye Sister' video, with a teary response in which he apologised profusely for his behaviour.
"I'm so disappointed in myself that I ruined a relationship that did mean so much to me."
But since posting his YouTube video, which now has 32 million views, James has been silent on all his social media accounts.
