If, like me, you were gripped to Shane Dawson's original YouTube documentary series with Jeffree Star, you've no doubt been equally hooked on his second series: The Beautiful Life of Jeffree Star, which showed the making of the pair's Conspiracy eyeshadow palette collection.
While The Secret World of Jeffree Star revealed a lot about Jeffree's controversial lifestyle, like the fact he's so incredibly rich, he has a closet where "Gucci goes to die". The Beautiful Life of Jeffree Star has shown the entire process of Shane and Jeffree's makeup collaboration, from picking shade names, to signing contracts, to finalising packaging design.
The original idea for a makeup collection came about after the first series, when Jeffree suggested that Shane should team up with him to produce his own eyeshadow palette based on his popular conspiracy theory videos.
That idea sparked an entire Conspiracy collection which includes an 18-pan Conspiracy palette, 9-pan Mini Controversy palette, 6 liquid lipsticks, 1 clear lipgloss, 2 pig mirrors, 4 makeup bags, 2 pig handbags and 1 Jeffree x Shane tracksuit.
The collection launched in the UK on Friday 1st November on Beauty Bay, and as with all super-hyped beauty products, we put the new palette to the test in our Beauty Lab YouTube series. Which, if you're new to these parts, is where we test all sorts of weird and wonderful beauty products on camera.
