When it comes to roaming the beauty side of TikTok, there are a few things you may come across: makeup hacks, skincare tips, an array of *mind-blowing* tutorials and, possibly the most popular of all, tried-and-tested product recommendations.
The latest TikTok hype falls into the latter category, with a video coming to us from beauty and fashion influencer, Monet McMichael. And yes, if you thought you recognised her name, that's probably because you most definitely loved the ingenious eyeliner hack she created just as much as we did.
In said video, Monet uses the Caudalie Grape Water, £12, before applying her makeup and all it took was one clip of her basking in all its glory to make the product go viral. After seeing Monet's video, the one and only Mikayla Nogueira had to put it to the test. She doesn't need much of an introduction either as with 12 million followers, we're sure you're pretty familiar with the artist. Can I get a round of applause for the MUA girlies who are killing the TikTok game ATM? 👏
After spraying the mist all over her face, Mikayla says: "Oh my... that... I could do that all day". I mean, that's definitely a good reaction, right?
She then shares that the mist is made up of 100% grape water (what?!) and after doing some digging ourselves, we have found that it works as a toner 'to clarify the complexion and hydrate your skin throughout the day'. One user sums up the product perfectly, commenting: "so it's face wine essentially lol".
As well as being a pick me up spritz (sounds like a good ol' Aperol to me), Mikayla says that the "tackiness [...] would make makeup go on top of this beautifully".
So, naturally intrigued by this so-called wine for your face, I had to try the product out for myself. See the TikTok video below for our Cosmo Hype test reaction:
As Mikayla sums up the product perfectly, it is: "freaking epic".
