Shonda Rhimes' madcap drama series, The Residence, has officially started on Netflix.
The eight-part series stars Uzo Aduba as eccentric detective, Cordelia Cupp, who is called into the White House to solve the murder of the President's Chief Usher, A.B. Wynter (Giancarlo Esposito).
The official synopsis reads: "132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous state dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion."

Uzo Aduba as Cordelia Cupp
Who is Cordelia Cupp? Cordelia Cupp is the lead character in Netflix's The Residence.
She is a consultant with the Metropolitan Police Department and is said to have "the memory of a steel trap. So every single thing, every letter every word, every single detail that someone brings to her, she files it away and listens to or for a contradiction."
