Another year, another season of Emily in Paris in the books! All episodes of Emily in Paris season 5 hit Netflix on December 18, 2025 and if you're anything like me, you gobbled up all 10 episodes in one sitting and are ready for more European adventures, love triangles, drama and, of course, questionable fashion moments from Emily Cooper.
Last season took fans of the show to Italy, as Emily's romance with Marcello experienced several highs and lows (more on that later) and briefly caught up with Gabriel on his fancy new private-chef job on a yacht—but when he gets some time off in Greece, it leaves our heroine faced with yet another major question of who she'll end up with in the next season.
Since you're obviously wondering how long we'll have to wait for answers, here's everything we know about Emily in Paris season 6. Spoilers are ahead, so stop now in case you have yet to binge each delicious episode of your favorite Netflix program.
When will Emily in Paris season 6 premiere?
Season 6 is currently filming! Which means it could potentially still hit that Christmas release spot Netflix seems to like for this show. But, devastatingly, Netflix has confirmed it will be the show’s final season.
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime,” creator Darren Star said in a statement. “As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris.”
And Lily Collins added, “Season six will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime. Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season.”
What will season 6 be about?
Welp, there were a lot of loose ends that a potential season 6 could tie up, if we're so lucky. Let's recap, shall we?
Emily enjoyed her little romance with Italian knitwear heir, Marcello, but their relationship wasn't without its ups and downs—Marcello's mother, Antonia, didn't exactly give the relationship her seal of approval with how it could potentially affect the family business. And she wasn't exactly wrong: Emily's PR activation essentially turns the family's town into a TikTok-able tourist destination, and she fires Emily from handling their brand's PR.
The pair ultimately takes a break, which sees Emily back in Paris, but Marcello shows up and wants to give their relationship a try again. But after a failed engagement attempt (which was actually a misunderstanding, LOL) and Marcello admitting home and work will always be in Italy, he and Emily break up for good.
Gabriel, meanwhile, has minimal time this season because he's a fancy private-yacht chef for a billionaire over the summer. He and Emily meet in Paris for just a few hours so can pick up his chef knives (yeah, okay) and sparks are indeed flying! But he encourages Emily to give love with Marcello one more shot. By the end of the season, Gabriel gets a few weeks off in Greece before heading out on the water again, leading him to send a postcard to Emily asking her to join him—could these two have another shot at love? Hoping so!!!
As for Star, he's rooting for Emily to take that trip. In an interview with Deadline, just hours after all the season 5 episodes were released, he said, “I hope Emily says yes to that invitation. [Emily and Gabriel] reconnected in a nice way. [As for] where that takes them, I think it definitely hints at the idea that they’ll stay in each other’s lives.”
And let's not forget Mindy: She and Alfie end up hooking up in season 5 and settle on it being just a summer fling before breaking things off. Emily finds out and is pissed for a total of two episodes and moves on, but so does Mindy—Nicolas comes to make up with her, and even proposes. But when Alfie learns the news, he tells Mindy that she's making a big mistake and plants the seeds of doubt in her head. And to make matters worse, Mindy asks Emily straight up if she still has feelings for Alfie and gets no response. Sounds like a Nicolas-Mindy-Alfie-Emily-Gabriel love pentagon is entirely possible for season 6 (biiiig yikes).
What cast members will appears in Emily in Paris season 6?
Though there has yet to be an official announcement pertaining to next season's cast members, we can expect all the usual suspects—regulars like Lily Collins (Emily), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Ashley Park (Mindy), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu Young (Sylvie)—to return to our screens.
