What have you been doing all day? Well, we’ve been glued to our Netflix account, as the full season of Temptation Island (yes, all 10 episodes) just dropped. The new reality series follows four couples as they split up and move in with a number of tempting singles, but will they make it back to each other at the end of the series? If you like spoilers, then you’re in luck as this is everything you need to know about couple Brion and Shanté and their current relationship status.
Who are Temptation Island’s Shanté and Brion?
Brion, 26, and Shanté, 29, had been in a relationship for a year together before they went on Temptation Island. They wanted to go on the show to test their connection, as they have major trust issues within their relationship. When they first got together, Brion was unfaithful which led to insecurity and distrust on Shanté’s part.
Brion describes himself as a very sexual being and wants more from his sex life with Shanté, including threesomes. He also wants to prove by going onto the Island he can be just friends with women, to soothe Shanté’s worries.
What happened with Shanté and Brion on Temptation Island?
From the get-go of moving into the villa, Brion was very flirty with the single women and Shanté let loose. At the first bonfire, Brion watched Shanté dancing with the guys and Brion said he wanted to see more of that outgoing side from her in their relationship. And during her first time watching Brion, Shanté saw him getting chocolate sauce licked off him and doing body shots.
Brion continued his flirty behavior as the series progressed and at one point, he goes into his bedroom bathroom with Alex, and we don’t see what they get up to in there. Shanté sees this clip at the next bonfire and says it’s “annoying” as the purpose of the couple coming to the Island was for Brion to prove he could be friends with girls, and his behavior in the bathroom is a little more than friendly.
Later on in the season, the temptation haven is added to the villa and when the light goes off at the girls’ villa indicating one of the boyfriends has used it, Shanté is in floods of tears, worried that it’s her man who is in the tent. (It wasn’t.)
However, just minutes later, we see Courtney and Alex go into Brion’s bathroom with him and the trio seem to have a threesome. Afterward, Brion says he has no regrets and thinks Shanté will respect him for being honest with her.
When Shanté watches this back, she says that while she’s upset, she isn’t going to give Brion and the girls her tears. The couple later sends video messages to each other, with Brion confessing his love for Shanté, while she says how hurt she feels by him and that she doesn’t recognize the man she's been watching in the clips.
After this message, Brion scaled back his behavior toward the other women and began to think about the couple’s future.
Are Temptation Island’s Shanté and Brion still together?
At the final bonfire, Brion said he wanted to leave the Island with Shanté, but she was very conflicted. At one point, she walks off the set and is comforted by a production crew member who tells her to do what’s best for her and listen to her heart.
When she came back to Brion, at first it seems like she is going to end their relationship, but she ultimately decided to carry on being with Brion and they left the Island together.
For the first month after the show was released, it seemed like Brion and Shanté were still happily together. According to an interview with Tudum, their communication has improved and they were even planning on moving in together.
Brion also said that he regrets the threesome, a sentiment he reiterated in an Instagram post updating followers on their relationship. “I’ve made mistakes I’m truly sorry for. I take full accountability for my actions, and I know I hurt someone who didn’t deserve it,” he wrote alongside a reel of memories from their last two years together. “But Shanté showed me grace when I couldn’t show it to myself. She stood by me when she could’ve walked away, and that strength and love humbles me every day,” he continued. Later in the caption, he called Shanté “the most incredible woman I know—kind, nurturing, funny, strong, and full of grace.”
What happened between Shanté and Brion after the show aired?
All seemed to be going well at first, with Shanté and Brion both insisting that they were still together despite their traumatic island experience. But on April 7, less than a month after Temptation Island's Netflix premiere, Shanté revealed on Instagram that she and Brion had broken up. “After much thought and reflection, Brion and I have decided to part ways for now,” Shanté wrote on her Stories. She continued, saying that there was “no bad blood—just two people recognizing that we need time and space to process this journey.”
Brion does not appear to have commented yet, but his post celebrating their relationship that went live after the Temptation Island premiere is still up.
