Last week, I was scrolling on Instagram and audibly gasped when I came across a photo of Gigi Hadid with what just might be the most perfect blowout I’ve ever seen in my life. It was sleek at the crown of the head, had volume through the lengths, and finished with soft swoops at the ends. Basically, my ideal hairstyle for any occasion.
Her celebrity hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, the genius behind the style, has officially coined it the ‘C-Curl’—and I asked him exactly how to achieve it so we can all channel our inner Gigi. “The C-Curl is all about a sleek curve and polished bounce,” says Giannetos.

What is the ‘C-Curl’?
“The C-Curl has more structure than a traditional blowout, with added shape through the ends,” says Giannetos. The C-Curl is a blowout that starts sleek and smooth at the top, then flows into defined bends and swoops through the mid-lengths and ends.
“For the C-Curl, the haircut is key,” says Giannetos. “A more blunt cut with thicker ends will give you the cleanest, most visible curve.”
How to style the ‘C-Curl’:
To style, Giannetos starts by coating freshly washed hair with L’Oréal Paris EverPure Iron Sleek Coat. “I blow-dry using a small round brush to smooth and shape each section,” he says. And if you don’t have the skills for a traditional blowout and round brush combo, a heated round brush or multi-styler will do the trick. Once the curve is formed, he clips each section to cool and set the shape.
To finish, he goes back in with a paddle brush. “I wrap the ends around my hand to refine that signature ‘C’ shape and give everything a polished, glossy finish,” he explains.
