The Netflix show sees the wealthy Guinness family grapple with the death of their father Benjamin Guinness.

After the Guinness siblings Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Benjamin (Fionn O’Shea), and Anne (Emily Fairn) discover the contents of their father's will, it prompts power struggles and tensions to unfold.

The eight episodes of the first season are filled with intrigue, so, can we expect a second season? Here's everything you need to know.

Will there be a second season of House of Guinness?

The first season of House of Guinness ends with major cliffhangers for much of the cast, so it very much seems that the creators are intending on filming a second season.

As reported by The Mirror, the show's creator, Steven Knight, also spoke at his hopes for the show's future at a Q&A following a House of Guinness screening.

In response to questions about future seasons, he said: "Yes, of course. We are going to do season two, and three, and four. We are going to do this all the way to the 1960s."

It's worth noting, however, that Netflix is yet to confirm a second series.

What will happen in the second season of House of Guinness?

As the show is inspired by the real lives of the Guinness family, it's likely that any future season would draw on real events.

The famous family has been a staple of high society, and have married into other prominent families, such as the Mitfords.

There is also a supposed “Guinness family curse” due to a string of ill fortunes that befell the family following the death of Walter Guinness 1st Baron Moyne, who was held hostage and then killed in Cairo in the 1940s.
