Based on the true crime podcast by journalist Mandy Matney, and the true crimes committed by the Murdaugh family of South Carolina, Murdaugh: Death in the Family is a new Hulu limited series that brings on the suspense, thrill, and drama. And a big part of what makes this dramatization of true life events work so well is its amazing cast.
Of course, the way things end is no mystery. However, the show manages to bring something new to the table by simply investigating the murders of mother and son Margaret and Paul Murdaugh. The show digs deeper, and traces back to the decades-long rise to power of the Murdaugh family, their alleged corruption and crime cover-ups through the years, and everything that's led to the big event that shook America.

Brittany Snow as Mandy Matney
Mandy is the local journalist who begins to investigate the Murdaugh family after the fatal boat crash that killed Paul Murdaugh. In the process, she begins to uncover much more than she ever thought she would find.
If you watch movies and TV, then you know probably know Brittany Snow. You may recognize her from her roles in The Hunting Wives, the Pitch Perfect film trilogy, American Dreams and Hairspray.

Patricia Arquette as Margaret "Maggie" Murdaugh
Maggie Murdaugh has been married to Alex Murdaugh for over 27 years. At this point, she's very well-acquainted with the family she's married into and the man she swore to be with 'til death do they part...Or so she thought. She's a strong woman who knows to be tough when things get rough, but even that couldn't protect her in the end.
Patricia Arquette is a multi-award winning actress who's made her mark in Hollywood. You may recognize her from shows including Severance, Medium, and The Act,as well as films like Boyhood, True Romance, and Ed Wood.

Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh
Alex is a personal injury lawyer continuing the century-old Murdaugh family legal dynasty. His family has long established themselves not just in Hampton County, but the whole state of South Carolina, with enough power to sway judges and local law enforcement. But not even that could save him from the mounting consequences of his financial crimes and a lawsuit from his son's boating accident.
Jason Clarke is an Australian actor who is best known for his role as Tommy Caffee in TV series Brotherhood. He's also starred in numerous films including Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Terminator Genisys.

Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh
Paul is a 22-year-old college student, and the youngest son of Alex and Maggie Murdaugh. He's a guy who likes to have a good time, but it becomes very apparent that he has an alcohol problem when he gets himself, and his friends in a fatal boat accident that winds up killing one of them.
Johnny Berchtold is an American actor who you might recognize as one of the leads in the film The Passenger. He's also appeared in other movies including Dog Gone, and shows like Reacher, and Tiny Beautiful Things.

Will Harrison as Buster Murdaugh
Buster is the eldest son, and is fiercely loyal to his father and their family legacy. He tries to live up to the Murdaugh name, but fails to do so after being expelled from the University of South Carolina School of Law within his first year. Still, he remains a dedicated son who doesn't waver in the belief that his father is innocent.
Will Harrison is most recognizable for his role as Graham Dunne in Daisy Jones & The Six. He's also played a recurring role in Manhunt, and starred in the movie This Is a Film About My Mother.

Mina Sundwall as Brooklynn White
Brooklynn is Buster's long-time girlfriend and soon-to-be-wife. She also has the makings of the perfect daughter-in-law in the eyes of the Murdaughs. Brooklynn has a promising career in law, seems like a "good girl," and is very supportive of Buster.
Mina Sundwall is an American actress know for portraying Penny Robinson in Netflix series Lost in Space. She's also starred in films like The Graduates and Maggie's Plan.

J. Smith-Cameron as Marian Proctor
Marian is Maggie's older sister, and sister-in-law to Alex Murdaugh. She's extremely close with her sister, and spoke with her daily. So you can imagine the shock, horror, and despair she felt when she learns of her sister's murder. She becomes suspicious of Alex and his strange behavior.
J. Smith-Cameron is an American actress who's been nominated for Primetime Emmys for her role as Gerri Kellman in Succession. She's also starred in TV series Rectify, and many films including Vengeance, You Can Count on Me, and Margaret.
