Meet the Cast and Characters of 'Every Year After'
Brothers... in summer... again?!
Ready for Prime Video’s next swoony book adaptation? Every Year After, based on the Every Summer After series by Carley Fortune, drops on June 10, 2026. Get ready by learning who all the characters are, as well as who plays them.
According to the official press materials, “Every Year After is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever” set on a “quintessential lake town” called Barry’s Bay. The leading lady, Persephone or “Percy,” comes home to Barry’s Bay after a tragedy and reconnects with her old friends.
Sadie Soverall plays Percy Fraser
Percy has lost her spark by the time she returns to the lake town, but her past and a surprise brings her back.
Sadie Soverall played Beatrix on Fate: The Winx Saga and also starred in The Gathering. You might know her from Saltburn, too. She recently played Shelby Holcomb, the leading role played on Broadway by another ginger Sadie (Sink, obviously) in the London cast of Kimberly Belflower’s phenomenal play John Proctor is the Villain.

Juliette Hawk plays Young Percy
Most likely, you’ve seen Juliette Hawk in a Lifetime or Hallmark Christmas movie. Some of her credits include Snowed in for Christmas, Magic in Mistletoe, A Christmas Star, and Oy To The People.

Matt Cornett plays Sam Florek
Percy’s childhood sweetheart, Sam, is now a doctor with a girlfriend.
Matt Cornett played EJ, leading man who found his passion in directing (and his fellow understudy), on the Disney+ musical mockumentary High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. He was also in the Disney+ movie Zombies 3. Last year, he appeared in Jillian Bell’s directorial debut Summer of ‘69. You may have also seen him on shows like The Middle, Southland, Life in Pieces, or The Goldbergs.

Blue Clarke plays Young Sam
Before this show, Blue Clarke’s credits included Where The Crawdads Sing and Black Bird.
Michael Bradway plays Charlie Florek
Charlie is Sam’s older brother.
Michael Bradway had an arc on Chicago Fire playing Jack. He also played a supporting role in the 2025 Nick Cassavetes film Marked Men.

Carson MacCormac plays Young Charlie
Carson MacCormac played a bully in both Shazam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods. He was Zach in My Life with the Walter Boys. He was also in multiple horror movies in 2025, including Clown in a Cornfield and This is Not a Test.

Aurora Perrineau plays Chantal
Chantal is a lawyer, recently engaged, and Percy’s friend.
Aurora Perrineau is best known for starring in the live-action adaptation of Jem, called Jem and the Holograms, in 2015. She also starred in Prodigal Son, the Netflix series Kaos, joined the fourth season of Westworld, and played Yusef Salaam’s mother in Ava DuVernay’s miniseries When They See Us.

Joseph Chiu plays Jordie
Jordie is a friend of Sam who works at a motel where Percy and Chantal stay.
Prior to Every Year After, Joseph Chiu appeared in the movie Fear Street: Prom Night and shows including Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, The Miniature Wife, and Motorheads.

Elisha Cuthbert plays Sue Florek
Sue is Sam and Charlie’s mother. Spoiler alert: her death is the reason Percy returns.

Abigail Cowen starred as Bloom in Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix and played Dorcas in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She was also on four episodes of The Fosters, played Vicki Carmichael on the first season of Stranger Things, and starred in the horror movie The Ritual.
