First, some news that probably won’t shock you: No, Marissa George and DeMari Davis are not still together following Perfect Match season 4. Despite sticking together from day one, their relationship was a roller coaster (and not a very fun one…) from the beginning, and despite making it to the finale together, the love didn’t last.

What is surprising: Four months after filming wrapped in November 2025, Marissa got married…to someone else. So now her mysterious Instagram from February (which she captioned, “It’s because I’m looking at him…”) makes sense!

But first things first! As Marissa explained to Tudum, she and DeMari “both decided to leave the experience as friends.” She added, “We spoke briefly afterward, but just left it as a friendship, appreciating the experience we had together.”

So…who the heck did she marry if not DeMari? In her interview, Marissa explained that she rekindled things with someone from her past (apparently, the two first dated over 13 years ago), and in March 2026, they even tied the knot…and are now planning a move to Japan together.

Reflecting on how much has changed for her since the show, Marissa said, “I’m still growing when it comes to communication, emotional regulation, ADHD, and just navigating all the layers of who I am. But I’m very self-aware, actively working on it, and lucky to have a man who gives me the space to grow while loving me through it all.”

In an exclusive with People, Marissa revealed even more details about her husband, Dre Johnson (who, btw, she gave photo cred to in the above post from Tokyo Disneyland ^^^).

“Over the last 13 years, we somehow always found our way back to each other,” she said. “Anytime we were both single, we’d reconnect and it was always clear the feelings never really left. Even our mutual friends would always say, ‘If the timing ever works out, they’re going to end up together.’”

She added, “I cherish what [my husband and I] have so deeply. Which is honestly why I can now watch myself on Netflix, see all the growth and mistakes and lessons, and still feel proud of the woman I’ve become.”

Also, can we talk about how DeMari commented, “Congratulations, wishing you the best 🤎🥂” on her marriage announcement post?

Speaking of DeMari! He told Tudum he is still looking for The One. “The next person I date, I want to be my wife,” he said. “I am much more intentional about evaluating partners as such.”

That said, he did post a pic with fellow Perfect Match star Kayla Richart the other day, so…maybe there’s something there!
