Off Campus is incoming! The new Prime series—about the hot hockey players of Briar University and their steamy love lives—drops tomorrow, May 13, and is based off book one in Elle Kennedy’s best-selling series.
In case you’re new here, the Off Campus books follow a model similar to Bridgerton. Meaning: each book (and respective season) focuses on one couple, while the couples from future books/seasons are supporting characters. The first installment kicks off with Hannah and Garrett’s love story, and you might find yourself wondering if actors Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli will stick around for Season 2. Especially since Bridgerton leads have been known to peace once their season wraps….
The answer? Yes, thank goodness. Belmont told Us Weekly, “I totally understand your concern. We will be along for the ride the whole time. We’re excited to see what season 2 holds for [us].”
Season one of Off Campus is based off Elle Kennedy’s The Deal, and follows Hannah, who’s “carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction” and decides to get her crush’s attention by tutoring the captain of the hockey team, Garrett, in exchange for a “pretend date.” Obviously, they end up falling for each other throughout the course of their “deal”—with a few complications.
As the book description puts it (tbd on how closely the show follows), “one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.”
Off Campus drops May 13 on Prime.
