We may be months away from the season 35 premiere of Dancing With the Stars, but you can officially get excited for it, because we’ve got our first confirmed stars. At the Hulu Get Real House event on April 22, Ciara Miller from Summer House and Maura Higgins from Love Island and Traitors were announced as celebrity contestants for the upcoming season.

Then, a few weeks later at the Disney Upfront on May 12, a third contestant was announced: TikTok star and Savannah Bananas team member Jackson Olson, who’s been publicly manifesting this for months now. Happy for him!!

Maura has also been rumored for a while now, having previously told The Hollywood Reporter she’d be down to compete for the famous Mirrorball trophy. “Maybe [I’d do] Dancing With the Stars,” she revealed to the outlet in March. “It’s something that’d be a challenge for me. I’ve never danced. I’d done a bit of Irish dancing when I was younger. It’d be a huge challenge, but I know I’d throw myself into it and all the looks and glitter.”

Meanwhile, Ciara hasn’t spoken about DWTS…but she did shut down the possibility of another reality show. When asked about doing The Bachelorette during a recent interview with Glamour, the Summer House star said, “I’m way too private.”

The full DWTS cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be announced at a later date, with the show premiering in the fall, but I know this much: I will be watching if Ciara, Maura, and Jackson are involved!

At last year’s Get Real House event (which was the first time the event took place), Robert Irwin was announced as the first official contestant joining DWTS season 34…and as you might recall, he ended up winning the whole thing.

Is being the first to get announced a good luck charm? Guess we’ll find out when DWTS season 35 kicks off this fall.

Oh, and speaking of Robert: Elsewhere during Hulu’s latest event, the streamer officially announced Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, which will feature the season 34 winner as host.

The series, which premieres on ABC on July 13, will feature “12 exceptional up-and-coming dancers who move into one house and compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer” on season 35, per a synopsis. Into it!!
