Squid Game: The Challenge season two winner Perla (Player 072) has revealed how she'll be spending her $4.56 million winnings.
During a Q&A after the screening of the season two finale, Perla was asked what she plans to do with the prize fund.
She said, “There’s a few steps to spending the money. Number one is splitting it with Geoffrey. I don’t need that much money, and my brother is the reason I passed marbles.
“Number two is we’re getting our mom and dad a house. We are an immigrant family, we all moved to this country, and our dream was always to own property and not worry about the rent. My mom raised us on very low income and still gave us food and a home and an education and a life and happiness, but now it’s time to chill and get a house.”
Then came the third thing on her list, which is a very personal gift to herself.
“Lastly, I want to get a boob job. Finally. With the best doctors,” she smiled, causing the audience to cheer.
She added, “And investing. And I have to also donate to my middle school, East Harlem School, and Bates College, Black Student Union. Latinos Unidos—you will be hearing from me!”
Perla's time on the Netflix series wasn't smooth sailing. During a game of marbles, she was made to play against her brother Geoffrey, putting them both in a difficult position. He decided not to take part, instead encouraging his sister to go on and win the game for the both of them. And she did just that.
Following a tense game of Red Light, Green Light, Perla narrowly defeated Player 017 (Vanessa), Player 183 (Steven), and Player 302 (Dajah) and was crowned this year's winner, taking home the whopping $4.56 million prize.
“I knew the second her brother sacrificed himself for Perla that she would win never doubted the entire volume 2 and the finale that she would win plus I really wanted her to win, also Trinity but Perla all the way,” one fan commented.
Squid Game: The Challenge seasons one and two are available to stream on Netflix.
