  • Read on to find out more about what might happen in season 3 and other details.

The latest season of Netflix's hit romcom series Nobody Wants This sees podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) navigate their relationship past the honeymoon phase. In season 2, the couple navigates the realities of what it means to commit to one another, which for Joanne means grappling with her faith. Will she convert to Judaism? Season 2 ends on a positive note, but there are still many unanswered questions that have definitely left fans wanting more. [Warning: Spoilers ahead! ]

Aside from Joanne and Noah's will-they-won't-they storyline, Noah's also facing challenges with his new job at Temple Ahava, we've also got a budding friendship between Joanne's sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) and Noah's mom Bina (Tovah Feldshuh), and some drama going down between Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther (Jackie Tohn). There's still a lot more to unpack, and we'd hate to be left hanging.

Is Nobody Wants This coming back for season 3?

It's clear from the season 2 finale that there just has to be another installment to the show. However, there hasn't been official word from the head honchos at Netflix. It took two weeks after season 1 dropped before season 2 was confirmed. (Any day now!) But things seem promising with lead actress Kristen Bell saying that season 3's already in the works, at least in the writer's room.

Watch Nobody Wants This season 2

Bell said in an interview, "You never know if you're gonna be able to shoot because that's way above our pay grade, and they decide what shows are gonna be shot. But the writer's room is writing it right now. That we know."

The show's creator, Erin Foster, has also reportedly said that she's always imagined the show having three seasons. Hopefully her vision comes to full fruition!

What is 'Nobody Wants This' season 3 going to be about?

With Joanne now having come to the conclusion that she does want to convert to Judaism—not just for Noah, but for herself—we're probably going to see more of the process. How does a blonde shiksa become a Jew? Then there's also the matter of her still not being fully accepted by Noah's parents, though at least Morgan is getting along well with his mother.

And though our happy main couple reunites by the end of the season, there's trouble in paradise for Sasha and Esther. That's going to be an interesting one to dig into as we see the struggles of a married couple navigating this rough phase in their relationship.

Who's coming back from the cast?

It's safe to say that all the main cast will be back for a third season once it's confirmed. But we did get a couple of fun cameos in season 2, with Leighton Meester and Seth Rogen lending their talents to the show. Can we expect more of this going forward? Well, with the show's popularity, we wouldn't be surprised. We're not holding our breath, but the makers of Nobody Wants This must have a trick or two up their sleeve.

When will Nobody Wants This season 3 come out?

With no confirmed season 3, we also don't have a confirmed date of release. But the second season came about a year after the first, so if a third season were to come out it'll likely take at least a year. So probably late 2026?

Everything's still up in the air, but we'll be sure to let you know about the latest updates on Nobody Wants This season 3. In the meantime, you can rewatch both seasons of this feel-good show on Netflix.
