For the past four seasons, this show has got everyone obsessed, traumatized, yelling "Yes, chef!," buying $100 two-packs of white T-shirts, and absolutely starving for more. When The Bear came out with its first season in 2022, it became a worldwide phenomenon because of the way it revealed what few people had previously known about the restaurant and hospitality industry—down to the last, seemingly-ridiculous, meticulous detail. And the latest season is no different.
In season 4, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of the team are trying to find a balance, tame the chaos, and stay afloat while also trying to plate and serve the best they possibly can. Plus, they've got each of their own personal lives and problems to worry about. It's hard to imagine that the story would be over so soon. (Or, at least, many of us are hoping it isn't.)

Is The Bear coming back for season 5?
With a big rec0rd-breaking Emmy run last year, one would think the creators of the show might try to keep its success going for as long as they could. And... they would be right! The show has officially been renewed for a season 5.
"It’s really Chris [Storer’s] decision on The Bear. It’s about, how much more story does he have to tell? I mean, obviously, I’m hoping he has more than one more season of story to tell," Landgraf told Variety in an interview. "But not to the extent that if there was one great season or three mediocre ones, I’d rather have one great one. You just have to follow the creative."
What would The Bear season 5 be about?
Given that The Bear is an original series created by Chris Storer and his team of creatives, we can really only speculate on what another season would be about. Honestly, there is a whole world of possibilities, given the rich back stories of each and every character. Though one would assume that a show called The Bear would always have Carmen "Bear" Berzatto, and his restaurant called The Bear, at its center. But after the season 4 finale, it's a little up in the air.
It seems like season 5 might spend more time exploring Sydney's culinary career, or perhaps Richie's, or even Marcus's (Lionel Boyce). There's a lot the show's creators can do, with multiple directions they could follow.
When will The Bear season 5 come out?
Following the pattern of previous releases, we'd give it a year. Season 1 came out in 2022, season 2 in 2023, season 3 in 2024, and season 4 in 2025. By that logic, it would make sense that a potential fifth season would probably drop in 2026.
