The Kells' Home: Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve
The gorgeous home of Michaela and Peter Kell, played by Moore and Bacon, is not really a mansion. Instead the show used CGI to turn Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve, a 100-year-old country club, into the lavish estate seen on the Netflix show.
Built in 1921 as a hunting preserve and country club, this historic residence now serves as the headquarters for the New York State Park system.
The 1,520-acre park covers the former Marshall Field III estate and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Now the park offers a diverse range of recreational, educational, and conservation activities, from running to biking and horseback riding.

The Kells' Home interior: Steiner Studios In Brooklyn, New York
The inside of the mansion was actually filmed on set at the predominantly at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, New York.
The interior scenes of the guesthouse—where Devon was grudgingly allowed to stay—were likely filmed in Brooklyn, along with a number of smaller outdoor yard shots. Meanwhile, the interior of Peter Kell’s lighthouse was most likely built on a soundstage at Steiner Studios, with green screens and CGI completing the transformation.

The Kells' live in a quiet island village where whispers of their wealth and alleged misdeeds ripple through the close-knit community. To bring this fictional village to life, the production turned to Lloyd Harbor, New York—a picturesque location that effortlessly captures the refined yet secretive atmosphere surrounding the Kells’ world.
