A new era of Doja Cat is upon us. Hot off the release of her highly anticipated collaboration with Jack Harlow, “Just Us,” and her femme fatale anthem “Born Again” with Raye and Blackpink’s Lisa, fans have been itching for new music from the Grammy winner. She just so happened to spill some details on her upcoming album, Vie, during a cover story interview with V Magazine.

She seemingly kickstarted her latest musical era back in March with a peek of her chic Grace Jones-inspired aesthetic. In the pics, she dons a hooded and structured black suit with a scarlet floral detail, low-cut white button-down shirt, sheer tights, and shiny black Christian Louboutin pumps. “tu es ma vie 💋,” she captioned her post, which subtly nods to the title of her new album. The shots were lensed by Jacob Webster, who also posted the pics and wrote, “New era loading...”

We know what you’re here for, so we won’t hold you any longer! Here’s everything we know about Doja Cat’s album, Vie, so far.

What has Doja said about Vie?

During a July cover story interview for V Magazine, Doja revealed that Vie is a “pop-driven project” that “leans into a retro aesthetic.”

“I wanted to play with that nostalgia by using these Lo-Fi sounds and samples and things that reminded you of something from your childhood, but it wasn’t on the nose ‘80s,” she explained of the project’s sound.

As for the album’s concept, she revealed that it revolves around “love, romance, and sex” and “discourse in relationships,” including those with yourself. “I think right now, you hear a lot of songs about breakups, and a lot of songs about how we’re just kind of sick of men. I have a song like that on this album. But the thing is, there are so many ways to talk about that feeling—like, ugh, men,” she shared.

Doja added, “This album is very much about love in a way that reflects how I want it to be in the future—my hope, my hopefulness. What I hope it could be. Because I remember there was a time when people were talking about wanting to be with each other, and it seems to have gotten a bit more vapid and just sort of like, not real… not loving, not romantic.”

On March 26, Doja swapped her profile picture and header on X (formerly known as Twitter) to the fashion-forward photos she posted on Instagram. The “Streets” performer also deleted most of her posts on the platform. The two remaining posts cryptically read “vvv” and “album.”

But, before ^^^ that, she reportedly dropped the album name, which translates to “life” in French. “Vie coming soon!” she wrote in a since-deleted post on February 9, per That Grape Juice.

What songs are on Vie?

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Doja shared out-of-order tracklisting for the project in November 2024, though it hasn’t been confirmed since (so take this with a grain of salt). Per her deleted X posts and expired Instagram Stories, some of the song’s titles allegedly include “Crack” and “Acts of Service.”

Doja has yet to confirm this information in 2025, but an unreleased track called “Jealous Type,” soundtracked Marc Jacobs’ pre-fall campaign starring Doja.

When does Doja Cat’s album come out?

Details on the release date are slim right now, but you already know we’ll update this post with more details as they come.
