Harry Styles is currently in the middle of his Together Together tour, and Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally must be taking up a lot of space in his brain because he straight-up forgot the lyrics to “Cherry.”
Harry was in the middle of singing the song over the weekend when he blanked on the opening verse. At first he turned to his band and asked “What are the words?” before pivoting to the audience and asking “What’s the first verse?” Naturally, everyone came through all at once, somewhat chaotically, so Harry asked a specific person near the front who helped him out. He then told fans “Sorry about that” and continued the song.
Not to be dramatic but I LOVE HIM.
Harry kicked off the Together Together tour back in May, though it’s less of a traditional tour and more a series of mini residencies. Like, he’s about to play 30 shows at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
Harry told Apple Music, “I think it makes the show better, I think you can build something that doesn’t have to travel every night. I think the show itself is better, I think there’s something about this that allows me to stay in my life while I’m doing it, and therefore I think allows me to take care of myself better, which I think makes me better at doing the thing. It’s not like I’m saying I’ll never travel again, but I want to see what it looks like if you do it a different way. People in my band have families now and kids, and some aspect of that too. It’s really important to me that they’re on the road, I would love to have them, I don’t want to make it near impossible for them to come do that with me.”
