Kim Kardashian showed up at the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend and was on the grid ahead of the race, so naturally everyone expected her to stop by for a quick interview with iconic Sky Sports interviewer and former F1 driver Martin Brundle. But apparently she didn’t get the memo that snubbing Martin is simply not done, because she did just that—leading to an outcry from unimpressed F1 fans.

In video footage of the incident, Martin introduces himself and asks Kim, “How are you today?” Kim takes a moment as someone from her entourage whispers in her ear (while Martin tells a person off camera “You don’t need to push me, mate”) and then ultimately decides to move on. Meanwhile, Martin notes, “Normally people will have a quick chat with us, are you enjoying F1? Okay, Kim and Khloé, so we’re not talking today. I like to believe they might do…”

Meanwhile, the vibes among fans were less than thrilled. As one person put it on Reddit, “Most fans this it is funny but it dosn’t reflect well on her tbh 🤷‍♀️”

And people were surprised Kim’s boyfriend Lewis Hamilton wouldn’t have briefed her on grid walk etiquette—especially since a few celebs in the past have made similar blunders:
