The French Open is officially in full force, with some of the world’s top athletes serving up serious games on the court. While Italian tennis star Matteo Arnaldi competes for the prize, his longtime love, Mia Savio, is serving, in a different sense, off the court as she rocks stunning looks in the stands.

He’s been romantically linked to the Australian fashion girlie since 2022, and they even took their relationship to the next level when he proposed to her in September 2025. That being said, now seems like a perfect time to celebrate and learn about Mia (and her ties to the tennis player)!

Mia is Australian

Yep! Mia was born and raised in Melbourne and resided there until she met Matteo in 2022. During an interview with clothing retailer NakedVice, Mia shared her favorite place for an overnight stay is her own home—and revealed that she and Matteo had moved in together “shortly after” their meet-cute.

“I’ve always stayed with family or friends in Melbourne, and recently my boyfriend and I got our own space,” she said at the time, adding, “Shortly after I met my boyfriend 3 years ago we moved to Monte-Carlo, Monaco. I now spend my time travelling with him and living between Monaco and Melbourne.”

“I played tennis growing up for many years and my dad would take me to watch the Australian Open every year,” Mia dished to NakedVice, revealing that it’s her favorite Grand Slam to watch. She continued, “Not only is it my favourite slam for the nostalgia but also the atmosphere and overall laid-back vibe.”

While Matteo hits the court, Mia is busy running a fashion empire. She started her own clothing brand, OIVAS, which features really cute athletic wear and tennis apparel, in 2025. Per the brand’s website, each piece is “thoughtfully crafted in Bali using recycled materials.”

“Our favourite activity to do whilst travelling is collecting the Diptyque City candles,” Mia dished to NakedVice, adding, “These are unique candles that Diptyque sells only in the city that the candle is representing. We also love this activity because the flagship stores are usually in the best area of that city, leading us to explore that suburb.”

Matteo and Mia took their romance to the next level a few months ahead of the French Open. “You and me forever,” they captioned the gorgeous photos in their announcement.

As for wedding planning? Matteo admitted that Mia has taken the reins as he focuses on his game.

“We’re loving all the preparations, all the big questions that they are giving to us. The only thing is the list. The list is getting longer and longer, so we had to cut out some things,” Matteo told reporters earlier this year during a press conference at the ATP Tour. “She’s much better than me [with making the decisions], I wouldn’t choose anything. But we are doing it in my hometown, so that’s already the big thing for me. I’m good with that. The rest she can do.”

He added, “She can choose, she can plan everything and I’m happy with that. I don’t want to make mistakes or anything. It’s our day, but it’s more her day, so she has to make it perfect. Happy wife, happy life.”
