- Benson Boone reportedly scored an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding, surprising fans who didn't know the singer and pop star were close.
- The opening act likely earned his spot on the guest list after performing at Taylor’s Eras Tour in June 2024, where she praised him as “such a showman.”
- Benson joins a star-studded guest list including Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, and Zoë Kravitz, with speculation he may perform his Grammy-nominated hit “Beautiful Things” for the newlyweds.
If I had to guess which opening acts on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour might be attending her upcoming wedding with Travis Kelce, I’d confidently say Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Sabrina Carpenter, and Gracie Abrams. But, respectfully, I didn’t have Benson Boone on my bingo card—that is, until a recent report from TMZ claimed he may actually be on the guest list.
Sources familiar with the guest list told the outlet that Benson “scored a RSVP” to the ceremony and “is expected to attend…though it’s unclear if he was given a plus one or will bring one.”
TMZ also claims that Taylor and Travis’s nuptials are planned for July 3, and Benson’s schedule seemingly aligns since his “next scheduled performance isn’t until July 7.”
If you’re in the class of folks who didn’t even know Benson and Taylor were cool like that, allow me to give you a refresher. Benson fully manifested meeting Taylor a few years back. He eventually snagged the opening slot for her Eras Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 23, 2024, and he gave the headliner a shoutout on stage during his performance of his Grammy-nominated hit, “Beautiful Things.”
He even received praise from Taylor once she began her set, as she claimed he was “such a showman.”
“He’s out here doing flips for you!” she told the crowd of his infamous signature stunt, per a TikTok shared by fan account @bensonboonenation.
Benson joins the list of rumored attendees, which also includes some of her other A-list pals like Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Haim, Jack Antonoff, Suki Waterhouse, Antoni Porowski, Lena Dunham, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Cara Delevingne, and Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
The real question is: will Benson take the stage and perform “Beautiful Things” for the newlyweds? Can’t wait to find out!
