Can we take a moment for Mia Calabrese’s J.Lo dress?

Listen, seeing reality TV stars on an awards show red carpet is nothing new. But of all the award shows, the American Music Awards may be the one most likely to attract celebs from the reality TV universe. On the 2026 AMAs red carpet, music legends were joined by everyone from Olympians to TikTokers to tons of reality stars, including familiar faces from Love Island USA, Summer House, Love on the Spectrum, and more. The reason? A fan-voted show means a very different sort of crowd.
As PR specialist Kayley Cornelius explained on behalf of Covers (via Unilad), there’s been a “noticeable shift” in the AMA attendees list since the show returned in 2025 following a brief hiatus. “The AMAs increasingly lean into influencer culture and viral online personalities to drive social media engagement,” she explained, “but that can unintentionally dilute the exclusivity and prestige that traditional music stars once associated with the event.” Translation: fewer A-listers, more influencers.
She added, “For many major artists, especially those at the very top of the industry, the Grammys still carry career-defining status, whereas the AMAs are now often viewed as more optional from a branding perspective.”
Makes sense! Keep scrolling to see all the reality TV faves who stunned on the 2026 AMAs red carpet, including a (possible?) hard-launch from Jessi Draper and Marciano Brunette.
