Taylor Swift has stepped out for a ton of events over the past few weeks (keeping us fed, bless her), and she was recently spotted at a wedding in Greece with Travis Kelce. On that note, we need to discuss her dress immediately.
It’s slightly hard to tell in these pics, but Taylor’s wearing a lace-up midi dress from Zimmermann that’s covered in a shimmery mermaid print.
Oh, and she paired the look with shell-shaped heels from Reformation. In other words, this ENTIRE look was mermaid-themed and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans.
Soooo, what does it all mean? Genuinely no idea, but this isn’t the first time Taylor’s been in her mermaid era. Reminder: she dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid during a New Year’s Eve party…
And let’s not forget that she named one of her songs “But Daddy I Love Him,” which is a line from Disney’s original animated The Little Mermaid, a movie that came out in 1989, the year Taylor was born.
So, yeah, Taylor and mermaids go way back! As for whether or not her outfit is an Easter egg, this was a pretty private wedding and there was no guarantee photos would make their way to the public. In other words, it’s a slightly different scenario than the times Taylor’s stepped out in public intentionally dropping sartorial Easter eggs for fans!
That, or TS13 is going to be mermaid themed. Either way.
