A new bombshell has entered the villa! Love Island USA is coming back for season 8, and the show just dropped a teaser that has fans thinking it miiiight feature one of the new cast members.
In said teaser, Ariana Madix gives a cheeky faux weather report about how this will be the “hottest season yet,” and then the camera cuts to a shirtless production assistant wearing headphones and holding a clipboard. Ahem:
So who is this mystery man? The Sun reports that he’s fitness influencer Seth Wilmoth, and naturally there’s tons of speculation that he’s part of the season 8 cast. However! Some fans have pointed out that the show’s used models as part of their promo in the past, so Seth’s feature in this teaser could just be random. Guess we’ll find out when Love Island USA drops its official cast list!
Meanwhile, Ariana told Deadline of the new season, “I’m really excited to get back to Fiji with everybody on the whole team. I’m excited to see who these Islanders are going to be. I feel like it’s such a lightning moment because they cast the best people, but until they’re all in a room together, you actually have no idea how it’s all going to come together, what sparks are going to fly. So I’m very, very excited. The show is—yes, it’s fun and it’s sexy and it’s bright colors and it’s flashy, but by the end of the summer, I’ve fallen in love with, like, 10 to 15 to 20 people and getting to watch them have this best summer of their lives and open themselves up to me, the world, all of us is really a gift. And I’m so grateful I have the best job in the world.”
Love Island USA, which will once again take place in Fiji, premieres Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
