• Hannah Fields of Love Island: Beyond the Villa issued an apology to her Instagram for some of the behavior that she exhibited on the show.
  • In her own words, her behavior on the show was “ugly.”
  • Her co-stars on the show have yet to issue a comment on her apology.

It wouldn’t be Love Island if there wasn’t any drama after the islanders make their appearance on the show. Case in point: After appearing on Love Island: Beyond the Villa, Hannah Fields issued a lengthy apology on Instagram on Friday for coming off as a mean girl while filming, and explained that she was going through a rough time in her life as the cameras were rolling.

“I've gone back and forth a lot on whether to not say anything because I know trying to explain reality TV situations can sometimes just make things worse,” her apology, shared to her Instagram Story, began. “I'm not going to sit in front of a camera and attempt to defend myself because I know there’s kind of a lose/lose situation. But I did understand why people formed the opinions they did.”

She continued, “I agree that a lot of what was shown of me was ugly, it was a hard watch, and it was filmed during such a horrible and pivotal point in my life where I was so disconnected from myself. There are moments I genuinely regret, things I said and ways I reacted that weren't okay, and seeing them back has been really humbling, i'm not perfect and in hindsight I would've handled a lot of things differently.”

None of Hannah’s co-stars have commented on her apology—well, at least not yet (publicly, in a statement of their own, or otherwise)—but she appears to feel more than ready to move on from the situation. She concluded her post by saying, “I've learned a lot from this experience, and as this point, I genuinely just want to move forward peacefully, continue growing privately, and put this chapter behind me with as much understanding as possible.”
