The 2026 Grammy Awards are going down literally right now, and the red carpet already has some pretty major celebs lurking on it (shout out to Chappell Roan for holding up her dress with nipple piercings!).

And while a ton of A-listers are invited AND poised to attend tonight’s ceremony—including the likes of Bad Bunny, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Kendrick Lamar—there are a few celebs who are skipping (and the list is growing by the moment).

First up?

Gracie Abrams

While Gracie has received two Grammy noms—one in 2024, and one in 2025—she missed out on song and record of the year nods for “That’s So True” this year, which is likely why she opted to skip.

Role Model

Why wasn’t Role Model at the 2026 Grammys, you ask? Despite scoring a huge hit with “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” Role Model also received zero nominations this year, which explains the no-show.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd—who has won four Grammys throughout his career—was yet another star who failed to show at the Grammys this year, seeing as neither his latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, nor his collaboration with Playboi Carti, “Timeless,” received any Grammys love.

Lorde

After failing to receive any recognition from the Recording Academy for her fourth studio album, Virgin, Lorde seemingly decided to sit out the show this year.

Beyoncé

Bey finally won Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter last year, but she didn’t make this year’s eligibility period and decided to skip out on the show.

As predicted, Tay was a no-show at this year’s show as she (1) isn’t up for any awards and (2) is reportedly in the midst of wedding planning.

Cardi B

To be fair, Cardi fully slayed her musical guest performances of “Bodega Baddie” and “ErrTime” on SNL in New York.

Ari skipped this year’s show despite winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Defying Gravity” with the Elphaba to her Glinda, Cynthia Erivo.

Speaking of Wicked, Cynthia missed the ceremony as she’s at the London Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards. She’s also starring in a one-woman production of Dracula on London’s West End from February 7 to May 30. She’s likely in the thick of prep as we speak!

Timothée Chalamet

Though he received his first nomination for A Complete Unknown, Timmy skipped the show. According to E! News, Timothée joined director Richard Curtis for a Q&A at the Prince Charles Cinema in the UK. He also won Actor of the Year at the London Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards.

Do we even need to explain? No Timmy definitely means no Kylie.

LISA

The Blackpink diva opted out of this year’s Grammys, but she has a good reason! After posing for the Glambot at the Golden Globes, Lisa explained she’s missing the show because of her involvement in Netflix’s movie, Tygo, which is shooting in South Korea. “I have a movie shoot, so I can’t be there,” she said at the Globes.

H dropped their incredible album, The Great Impersonator, outside of the eligibility period, which is probably why they didn’t receive any nods and skipped the show.
