In the event you're one of the people who legit still hasn't processed Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's divorce buuuuut still curious about what the heck is (reportedly) going on between her and Coldplay's Chris Martin, welcome to the club!
The lead of the forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot been in the public eye for quite a long time but has managed to keep relatively mum about her love life—which, fair! But if you couldn't help but wonder what the actor's complete dating history consists of IRL (in the name of research, obvi), we're here to fill in all the deets for ya (in the name of journalism, obvi).
From Joe Jonas and Peregrine Pearson to musician James McVey and actor Thomas Mann, here's Sophie Turner's entire dating history for your viewing pleasure—yw!
Chris Martin: 2025
In late October, a rumor started circulating that Sophie was seeing Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, with a Daily Mail source claiming Sophie and Chris went on a "secret date" about a week after she and Perry ended their two-year relationship.
However! Nothing else was ever heard about this potential romance, and during a January 2026 interview with Net-a-Porter’s PORTER, Sophie seemingly dispelled the rumors, saying she hadn't "gone on a date in weeks, months!" She noted that she "only [has] the capacity for work and family right now" so...I guess the Chris thing was either short-lived or a rumor!
Peregrine Pearson: 2023 to 2025
In October 2023, Sophie legit broke the internet after she was spotted kissing (ahem: "snogging") British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson outside the Gare du Nord railway station in Paris, according to pics posted by The Sun. Btw, at the time, it was also publicized that he had just broken up with King Charles' goddaughter (!!!!), Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark, in September of that year. TL;DR: Peregrine and Sophie were hot off relationships...aaaaand seemingly hot for each other.
After a year of dating, the two even hard-launched their 'ship with this steamy IG:
Things took a turn in spring 2025, when Sophie and Perry became subject to constant breakup rumors, but it wasn't until September 2025 that the couple seemingly broke up for good. Per the Daily Mail, she and Perry end things after a high-society wedding in September where they were seen “bickering and arguing between feverish snogs.”
Joe Jonas: 2016 to 2023
Sophie and Joe began dating after the musician reached out to the Game of Thrones alum on *checks notes* Instagram in 2016. "We had a lot of mutual friends. And they'd been trying to introduce us for a long time," Sophie dished to Harper's Bazaar UK in March 2019 about their ~origin story~. "We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue."
The two ultimately began dating in October 2016, and by October 2017 the musician proposed to the actor. They eventually got married in July 2019 at Château du Martinet in Provence (that is, after a very campy Vegas ceremony a month prior lol) and went on to have two children, Willa and Delphine.
Despite the couple looking incredible at everything from Jonas Brothers concerts to the steps of the Met Gala and collectively winning over our hearts, they ended up rocking our world in September 2023 after Joe filed for divorce, citing that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.
James McVey: 2014
Two years prior to her high-profile romance with Joe Jonas, Sophie briefly dated The Vamps guitarist James McVey. The duo initially met through social media and exchanged flirty tweets before ultimately meeting up in person.
One of the couple's outings included a cute stroll through the British Summer Time Festival, where they were spotted hanging out with Ellie Goulding and fellow Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams.
But even amid all of this ^^, sources still maintained that the two weren't rushing into anything that serious, with one even dishing the following to The Sun (via the Daily Mail): "It's still early days. She has just really broken into the big time through Game of Thrones and James and his band are constantly traveling to gigs, so they are taking it pretty slowly but they do really like each other."
*Le sigh* Unfortunately, the celebs wound up splitting a few months later. What little we do know about the breakup is that it was rumored to have ended after a Twitter feud between them that included this yikes comment:
However, in a subsequent interview with The Sun in November 2018, James actually discussed their romance and revealed that he and Sophie had actually split six weeks after the online "joke" and even ended things amicably.
"I've been meaning to put this right for years, and for some reason I haven't. So Sophie and I, we actually parted really amicably, and the stuff that was all on Twitter was a joke between me and her," he began before adding, "We were actually still together when we did all that."
James continued to show he wasn't harboring any bad feelings about the sitch by congratulating his ex on her then-upcoming nuptials to Joe Jonas: "I've spoken to her a couple times since [she got engaged]. I'm really happy for them. I really love DNCE, Joe's band, and I'm really happy for them."
Thomas Mann: 2014
Sophie and Thomas were rumored to be dating way back in 2014 after meeting on the set of the indie film Barely Lethal, which also starred Hailee Steinfeld and Dove Cameron. Although neither of the actors ever ~officially~ confirmed they were in a relationship, they did frequently post each other on social media ('kay, we can't help but notice a pattern here lol).
Case in point? In August 2014, Sophie posted a snap of herself and Thomas holding hands on Instagram alongside the caption "Dating? @thomas_mann." Ahem:
Neither one has fessed up to whether or not the rumors were true, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
