• Crave/HBO Max’s Heated Rivalry is one of the most talked-about shows on TV.
  • Hudson Williams, who plays hockey player Shane Hollander, made his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Jan. 7.
  • He talked about the show’s fandom and made a nod to his character with a ginger ale and, yes, a pair of slutty little glasses.

Heated Rivalry Hive, this is not a drill: Hudson Williams, aka our very own Shane Hollander, just made his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, January 7.

While it seems like a dream for many reasons (we’ll get to those in a sec), it’s very much real life. Sweet baby angel/rising star/fictional hockey star Hudson truly kept us fed as he broke up a debate between Jimmy and The Roots’ Tariq Trotter and taught the comedian some signature stretches and positions from the fan-favorite series.

However, the real star of his entire interview was his pair of slutty little glasses, which he pulled out as an homage to his character while he sipped on a ginger ale. (The girls and gays that get it, get it!) Please join me for a moment of silence to take in Hudson’s gorgeousness in these frames:

Aside from that, Hudson opened up about how Heated Rivalry’s success has made hockey fans out of its viewers, who may not have been familiar with the sport before. “Did you expect that kind of response from non-hockey fans?” Jimmy asked, to which he responded, “No, I did not think they would manage to go out to the—I’ve heard the term ‘boy aquarium,’ right? And they just sit on the glass and they’re like, ‘the boy aqurium!’”

He continued, “I would assume it’d be very disappointing, because there’s so little gay sex when I watch hockey.”

Of course, his response was a cheeky nod to the show’s fandom, who largely refer to the sporting event as a “boy aquarium” to watch the players glide on the ice rink through the glass. The fans in question also lost any ability to chill when he dropped that comment mid-interview.

“The concept of him knowing about the boy aquarium,” one fan wrote on social media after his appearance, while another added, “I can’t believe he went and said boy aquarium on live tv.... like I know we joke about him being [one of my followers] but I think he actually is oomf.”

If ^^^ all of this wasn’t enough reason to freak out, Hudson also teased what we can expect in the show’s upcoming second season. “There are some meanies. There are some big baddies,” he said of what’s to come. “If season one is an internal battle, season two is an external battle.”

As we actively try to collect ourselves, now seems like a good time to leave you with a pic of Hudson and his glasses.
