Miley Cyrus pulled up to the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards on Saturday, January 3. Naturally, she looked nothing short of in-cred-i-ble when she won the Outstanding Artistic Achievement award for her Avatar: Fire and Ash song, “We Dream As One.”

Of course, Miss Miley “I do it real big, never do it tiny” Cyrus also showed off a new hair transformation on the red carpet, where she looked like a total rockstar.

The “Something Beautiful” singer donned curtain bangs and blonde highlights, which longtime fans immediately likened to her beloved breakout role of normal girl by day/pop star by night, Hannah Montana. Miley didn’t shy away from the comparison, either—during a red carpet interview with Variety, she pretty much confirmed that her new ’do had everything to do with Hannah’s upcoming 20th anniversary.

“Any Hannah Montana anniversary plans coming along?” red carpet correspondent, Mark Malkin, asked the Disney Channel alum, who replied, “Absolutely, we’re working really hard on them.”

He then asked the question on everyone’s minds: “What are you going to do? Just tease us!” to which Miley shared, “I can’t tell you! You see the bangs.” (Miley, the icon you are for this response.)

While the Grammy winner is hard at work campaigning for an Oscar nomination, she’s been teasing her “Hannahversary” plans for a minute now.

In July 2025, she told On Air With Ryan Seacrest, “It’s about to be the 20-year Hannahversary in March! I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today.”

She added, “Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this...me. It’s so crazy to think that I started as a character that I thought would be impossible to shed, and now, that’s something that when I walk into a space, it’s looked at as this sense of nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood. But now, I’ve sort of been integrated into everyone’s life as the character has.”

Whatever it is, we’re seated. (And, hopefully, in the front row.)
