At Cosmo, we eat, sleep, and breathe celebrity relationships—which is why, for the first time ever, we are honoring the celeb couples who define for us what it means to be famous and in love. Some have been together for a matter of months, while others have been married for decades, but they all share one thing in common: They’re proving that Hollywood relationships aren’t all for show. These A-list pairings have inspired us, made us swoon, and had us asking “Me and who?”—which is why we’re celebrating them as our 2025 Couples of the Year.
They’re the musical collaborators turned soulmates and the actors whose on-set romance turned into an offscreen marriage. They’re the DM slide that got answered and the random run-in that led to a date. These celebs aren’t just posing alongside each other on the red carpet but also moving us with their meet-cutes and proving that love can, indeed, be found in a hopeless place (including the Love Island Villa).
Ahead, you’ll find the 20 celebrity couples (as well as the 20 runners-up) who took home superlatives for our first-ever Cosmo Couples of the Year awards—which includes the coveted Best New Couple of 2025 award, selected by Cosmo readers through more than 148,500 total votes!

Best New Couple:
Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe
What you need to know:
They may not have won Love Island USA season 7, but from the moment they shared that Soul Ties kiss, Olandria and Nic (who you may know by their fan-created portmanteau Nicolandria) definitely won viewers’ hearts. Outside the Villa, these two are still together and taking things slow—and trying not to let the massive pressure from their fan base get to them.
Why we chose them:
The Cosmo readers have spoken, and Nicolandria won by a landslide. The (likely) reason? Of the many new celeb couples that have emerged this year, Nic and Olandria seem to be one of the rare pairings that’s totally genuine. As Nic said of his relationship with Olandria during the reunion, “We’ve always been believers in taking our time with things and not trying to let outside pressure dictate our relationship.”
Honorable Mention for Best New Couple:
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson
Best Showmance Couple:
Leighton Meester and Adam Brody
What you need to know:
After briefly meeting at Canter’s Deli in West Hollywood back in 2007, Leighton and Adam were both cast in 2011’s The Oranges—and although Adam was in a relationship with someone else at the time, a friendship blossomed. By 2013, the former costars became a couple, and they ended up getting married after just about a year of dating. They’ve since welcomed two kids.
Why we chose them:
Considering they’re still acting alongside each other (Leighton recently made an appearance in Nobody Wants This season 2), it feels safe to say this showmance is the real deal, both on- and offscreen.
Honorable Mention for Best Showmance Couple:
Rachel Zegler and Nathan Louis-Fernand
Most Athletic Couple:
Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall
What you need to know:
Tara and Hunter immediately hit it off after locking eyes at a 2017 track meet, and they kept up a long-distance relationship throughout college. In 2021, Hunter popped the question during a trip to Mexico, and they got married the following year in Texas.
Why we chose them:
The fact that they (1) met while competing and (2) are both decorated track-and-field stars (Hunter won a gold medal in the men’s 400m at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, while Tara won a gold medal in women’s long jump at the 2024 Summer Olympics) is pretty epic, no?
Honorable Mention for Most Athletic Couple:
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens
Most Fashionable Couple:
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky
What you need to know:
Sparks first starting flying after Rihanna and A$AP Rocky performed together at the 2012 VMAs, and dating rumors began circulating while they filmed the music video for “Fashion Killa.” However! It wasn’t until late 2020 that the two became a confirmed item. They’ve since welcomed three kids together (and may even be secretly married!).
Why we chose them:
Music may have brought them together, but it’s their shared love of fashion that has really solidified their connection. I mean, what other Hollywood couple can boast matching CFDA Style Icon Awards?
Honorable Mention for Most Fashionable Couple:
Lily-Rose Depp and 070 Shake
Best Reality TV Couple:
Kordell Beckham and Serena Page
What you need to know:
During Love Island USA season 6, Serena and Kordell couldn’t deny their connection (even after he coupled up with another bombshell in Casa Amor during week 3...), and they ended up splitting the $100,000 prize money after winning the whole season. Over a year and a half later, the two are still going strong.
Why we chose them:
Love Island USA doesn’t exactly have the best track record for successful relationships, so the fact that Serena and Kordell have made things work outside the Villa (even after that Casa Amor drama!) is a real testament to the strength of their relationship.
Honorable Mention for Best Reality TV Couple:
Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei
Most Musical Couple:
George Daniel and Charli xcx
What you need to know:
Although they’d already known each other for years, Charli and George’s musical relationship really began in 2021, when they collaborated on the single “Spinning” with No Rome. They later worked together again on Charli’s 2022 Crash, and soon after, they went public with their ~romantic~ relationship. By November 2023, they were engaged, and in 2025, they had not one but two iconic weddings (a small ceremony in London in July, followed by a bigger bash in Sicily in September).
Why we chose them:
In George, Charli found a partner who not only shares her craft but who has influenced her creative process. As she previously explained, “Now that I’m in a relationship with another musician, he’s influenced me a lot with his process and how he and his band work. It’s really different to how I work, and that has definitely influenced me and my process.”
Honorable Mention for Most Musical Couple:
Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando
Most Random Couple:
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet
What you need to know:
Celebrity gossip guru DeuxMoi first broke the news on this relationship with a source claiming in April 2023 that Kylie and Timothée were possibly dating. They later made their official debut at Beyoncé’s birthday concert on her Renaissance World Tour, and—despite many, many breakup rumors—are still proving all the haters wrong.
Why we chose them:
They may be one of the most unexpected celebrity couples to emerge in recent years, but Kylie and Timmy have proven that dating someone outside your usual circle may just be the key to forming a deeper connection.
Honorable Mention for Most Random Couple:
Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene
Most Online Couple:
Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber
What you need to know:
Six years after a very awkward meet-and-greet facilitated by Hailey’s dad, Stephen Baldwin, Hailey and Justin debuted their relationship in late 2015 with some Instagram pics from a tropical vacay. They only ended up lasting a few months, but in summer 2018, the couple rekindled their ’ship...and got engaged soon after. The Biebers then got married twice for good measure (once in September 2018 and again in September 2019) and now share a son.
Why we chose them:
Despite dealing with endless split rumors and online hate, no one is in on the joke quite like Hailey and Justin. To the haters, they say, “It’s not clocking to you that we’re standing on business, is it?”
Honorable Mention for Most Online Couple:
Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome
Best Newly Engaged Couple:
Tom Holland and Zendaya
What you need to know:
Zendaya and Tom’s friendship first began on the set of 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming...although they didn’t become more than friends until summer 2021, when Tom went public with an Instagram post wishing a happy birthday to “my MJ.” They’ve kept things adorably low-key ever since, and Zendaya later soft-launched their engagement in the chillest way possible: by wearing her engagement ring on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet.
Why we chose them:
In an era of loud-and-proud engagement announcements, there’s something very sweet about Tomdaya’s quiet romance—especially because Tom only recently confirmed the engagement himself in September, when an interviewer called Zendaya his “girlfriend” and he quickly corrected him, clarifying that Z is his “fiancée.”
Honorable Mention for Best Newly Engaged Couple:
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Best Newlywed Couple:
Robby Hoffman and Gabby Windey
What you need to know:
What began with a random run-in outside of a bar in spring 2023 later became a whirlwind romance for Gabby and Robby. The reality TV star and and the Emmy-winning comedian quickly fell in love and later secretly tied the knot in Vegas less than two years after meeting.
Why we chose them:
Inspired to get hitched after fleeing Los Angeles together amid devastating wildfires, Gabby and Robby are living proof that when you know, you know. As Robby later told Cosmo of the spur-of-the-moment wedding ceremony, “We had no expectations. We just had love and openness.”
Honorable Mention for Best Newlywed Couple:
Chloë Grace Moretz and Kate Harrison
Horniest Couple:
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
What you need to know:
Kourtney and Travis started off simply as friends/neighbors in Calabasas, but things took a turn for the romantic in late 2020, when they became an official couple. Since then, the reality TV star and the drummer have provided no shortage of PDA, with Travis popping the question with a truuuuly elaborate proposal in October 2021, which was then followed by two very hot-and-heavy weddings in 2022 (including a Vegas ceremony in April and a Portofino celebration in May). They now share one son together, as well as a combined six children from previous relationships.
Why we chose them:
Even five years into their relationship, Kourt and Trav can’t seem to keep their hands off each other—and while I don’t know which celeb couple officially holds the record for touching tongues the most times on the red carpet, I’m pretty sure it’s these two.
Honorable Mention for Horniest Couple:
Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey
Most Romantic Couple:
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song
What you need to know:
Even though they first met at fellow actor Seth Green’s house back in 2014, Brenda and Mack didn’t really hit it off until summer 2017, when they were reunited on the set of 2019’s Changeland and quickly began dating. Since then, they’ve quietly welcomed two sons together—and while they’ve been engaged since (at least) January 2022, they have no plans to get married anytime soon.
Why we chose them:
Brought together by their child star pasts, Brenda and Mack make it clear they’re madly in love every chance they get...and no, they don’t feel the need to make their union official in order to prove their commitment. As Mack said of his relationship with Brenda to Cosmo, “I’m in this to the end, to the very end.”
Honorable Mention for Most Romantic Couple:
Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff
Best Second-Chance Couple:
JT and Lil Uzi Vert
What you need to know:
After a 2019 DM slide and elaborate first date (during which Uzi casually gifted JT a Chanel bag stuffed with cash), JT and Uzi seemed destined to become the next It Couple in music—but a few years later in 2022, the City Girl ended up breaking up with Uzi over a resurfaced tweet in which he seemingly tried to shoot his shot with visual artist Distortedd. Thankfully, they were able to put the internet drama behind them and give their relationship a second chance.
Why we chose them:
Not every on-again, off-again couple ends up succeeding, but it seems clear that after reconciling, JT and Uzi are in it for the long haul. When asked about her relationship, JT even gushed to Cosmo, “I’m not married yet, but we definitely are going to marry each other. That’s my best friend....It’s beyond love.”
Honorable Mention for Best Second-Chance Couple:
Ashanti and Nelly
Best Low-Key Couple:
Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge
What you need to know:
Olivia and Louis first connected through mutual friends in 2023, and by December of that year, they’d been papped frolicking and kissing around NYC. Despite the occasional PDA and few rare red carpet appearances, the two have kept their romance very much on the down-low—though the love between them is preeeeetty evident.
Why we chose them:
Louis explained it best when he was asked about his relationship with the pop star by British Vogue and said, “Dating probably shouldn’t be done in the public eye. There’s enough going on between two people. You don’t need the voices of thousands of others in your head.” So wise!
Honorable Mention for Best Low-Key Couple:
Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal
Best Friends-to-Lovers Couple:
Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers
What you need to know:
While Paige and Azzi first crossed paths in 2017 as teens at a USA Basketball team training camp, it would take many years for their relationship to turn romantic—eight years, to be exact. The two became besties while playing basketball at UConn together, and in summer 2025, fans began suspect the two were more than just former teammates. Things became undeniable, however, when Azzi debuted a phone case reading “Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend.”
Why we chose them:
Azzi and Paige may not be the first teammates to become girlfriends, but their love story is still totally unique (and evidence that friends can make the best partners!).
Honorable Mention for Best Friends-to-Lovers Couple:
Billie Eilish and Nat Wolff
Best Enemies-to-Lovers Couple:
Towa Bird and Reneé Rapp
What you need to know:
When Reneé and Towa first met, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight...at least, not for Towa, it seems. According to Renée, she asked a mutual friend to introduce them, and the first time they met, Towa was “so fucking mean” to her...but Reneé wasn’t to be deterred. Towa ended up opening for Reneé during her Snow Hard Feelings Tour, and eventually, they made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
Why we chose them:
Love at first sight? Kind of overrated. Deeming your future girlfriend “such a bitch” upon your first meeting? Kind of iconic. And clearly, things worked out for these two, as Reneé gushed to Cosmo about Towa, saying, “She’s my best friend. I worship her. I love talking to her, and I also just love watching her talk.”
Honorable Mention for Best Enemies-to-Lovers Couple:
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco
Most Astrologically-Compatible Couple:
Callum Turner and Dua Lipa
What you need to know:
It began in late 2023 with a date before a mutual friend’s birthday party—where, apparently, Dua and Callum both showed up with a copy of the book Trust by Hernán Díaz. Soon enough, the two were caught slow-dancing at the Masters of the Air premiere party and—after many, many months of engagement rumors—Dua finally confirmed in June 2025 that Callum had popped the question.
Why we chose them:
As a Leo and an Aquarius (Dua was born on August 22, while Callum’s birthday is February 15), these two are opposites on the zodiac wheel...but you know what they say about opposites: They attract. And there is seemingly no shortage of attraction (both physically and emotionally) between Callum and Dua.
Honorable Mention for Most Astrologically-Compatible Couple:
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade
Most Enduring Couple:
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.
What you need to know:
When Sarah and Freddie first met on the set of 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, their relationship was nothing more than friendly. It wasn’t until they arranged a group dinner with a mutual friend three years later (only to have that friend bail) that they realized they both felt a spark. They got engaged in 2001 and married just over a year later in 2002 and two kids, two Scooby-Doo movies, and 23 years later, they’re still as in love as ever.
Why we chose them:
It’s no secret that Hollywood marriages don’t always go the distance, so the fact that SMG and FPJ are still posting sweet odes to each other on Instagram after more than two decades of marriage is really something!!
Honorable Mention for Most Enduring Couple:
Colman Domingo and Raúl Domingo
Winningest Couple:
Jay-Z and Beyoncé
What you need to know:
How it started: with a cover shoot for Vanity Fair’s 2001 music issue. How it’s going: one of the most iconic A-list pairings of all time. After said shoot, Beyoncé and Jay-Z collaborated on “‘03 Bonnie and Clyde” and “Crazy In Love” until, eventually, they could no longer dispute the dating rumors. They eventually tied the knot in a super-secret ceremony in April 2008 and now share three children together—as well as a truly wild number of awards.
Why we chose them:
Between the two of them, Bey and Jay have won a whopping 60 Grammy awards (35 for Beyoncé, 25 for Jay-Z), as well as 3 Emmys and countless other honors and prizes. Not too shabby!!
Honorable Mention for Winningest Couple:
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
Best Fictional Couple:
Belly Conklin and Conrad Fisher
What you need to know:
Though they first met as kids spending summers together in Cousins Beach, Belly and Conrad first discovered their feelings for each other in the fall of Belly’s senior year, which is when they became a couple. They ended up splitting that spring when Conrad became withdrawn following the death of his mother, but they found their way back to each other just about four years later (but only after Belly breaks off her engagement with Conrad’s brother, Jeremiah).
Why we chose them:
Yes, The Summer I Turned Pretty is purely fictional, but considering the hold this show had over me between 2022 and 2025, my parasocial relationship with Belly and Conrad isn’t much different than the one I have with other celeb couples. Rooting for these two to stay together forever (or at least through next year’s TSITP movie).
