Prince George stood in for his father, Prince William, at an important event last night... and fans are all saying the same thing about it. On Saturday, November 8, Prince George and his mom, Kate Middleton, joined the King and Queen along with other royals for the British Legion's Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

"This evening, The King and Queen, The Princess of Wales, Prince George, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, attended the @RoyalBritishLegion’s Festival of Remembrance at the @RoyalAlbertHall," a post on the Royal Family's Instagram page said, adding that the concert is "to honor all those who have lost their lives in conflict."

The carousel of images in the post showed the 12-year-old future King enjoying his time at the event, meeting important figures, and looking incredibly smart. Reacting to George's appearance at the event, which was described as "emotional" and "really moving," fans pretty much all said the same thing in the comments section.

"So happy to see Prince George for his very first time at this event," one fan wrote, as another said: "Great to see Prince George attend such an important event."

"How wonderful to see Prince George," a third fan commented.

Other fans commented on how grown-up George looked at the concert. "Lovely to see George growing into his role," someone penned, as another commented that he's "so tall" now.

"You can see how proud Catherine is of George," another fan chimed in, with yet another adding: "I've never noticed before, but Prince George actually looks so much like his great granny. Something in the facial expressions… It's darling."

As for why the young royal attended, it's likely to do with Prince William's noticeable absence. For the past week, the Prince of Wales has been on a royal tour in Brazil for COP26 and the Earthshot Prize.
