There were recent reports of tension on set of Stranger Things between Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour, and executive producer and director Shawn Levy is speaking out.

To get everyone on the same page real fast, an insider told the Daily Mail that "Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim" against David "before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months. Lily [Allen] supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time."

They added, "Netflix will never comment on an internal investigation, but the fact they’ve not denied it speaks volumes. Stranger Things helped put Netflix on the map. Millions of fans around the world have been anticipating the finale. No one wants anything to take attention away from that."

Cut to Shawn Levy at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, who was asked by The Hollywood Reporter, "How do you handle something like that on set, and make sure everyone feels safe and respected" amid "news of a complaint between two stars on this show?"

"At the end of the day, that’s the job—you have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe," Shawn said. "So we did everything to build that environment, and we’re proud of the fact that we did so."

He added, "I’ve read a bunch of stories and they’ve ranged from wildly inaccurate to…there’s so much noise around it, but the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been [the] bedrock."
