- The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul is ABC's next Bachelorette.
- Just one week ahead of the announcement, the reality star seemingly soft launched a new guy on Instagram—and then deleted the pic.
- Taylor explained where they stand on Alex Cooper's podcast, Call Her Daddy.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' very own Taylor Frankie Paul is official ABC's new Bachelorette! But there's some slight confusion thanks to Tay implying—pretty recently—that there was a new man in her life.
In the event that you aren't following every single thing the SLOMW cast does all day, Taylor posted a bunch of photos on Instagram last week, which she captioned, "Life’s a little lighter when you’re surrounded by a village and someone who can sing your favorite songs to you." And the roundup included the soft launch of a new man—though his photo has been deleted in the wake of Tay's Bachelorette announcement.
So, what's the deal? Taylor addressed speculation during her appearance on Call Her Daddy, saying, "It wasn't a soft launch, whatever. I've met the guy twice, and so...likable guy. He's great. Are we official? No, I don't know the guy, right? Is it a relationship? Nothing along those lines of, like, people soft launch. I don't know him."
Mmmkay!
She went onto explain, "I wanted to date a little before, and that's the point—I haven't dated, I need to get back into it, and don't people date before they go on a dating show? It's the point."
Apparently Taylor met this guy during a TikTok live where he was "singing and playing guitar," and told him she was doing The Bachelorette. "He was like, go do your thing, if you meet someone, we weren't meant to be, and if not, maybe I'll be here."
Seems safe to assume ABC will be inviting this man to crash Taylor's season, so stay tuned!
