The Duchess of Sussex has lifted the lid on her old life in the UK—and the one thing she finds herself yearning for now she’s in California.
Meghan, 44, has returned with the hotly anticipated second season of With Love, Meghan, where she invites celebrity friends over to her (rented) Montecito house to cook with her (expect edible flowers aplenty).
And much like in the previous season, the former Suits actress is keen to get intimate with viewers by revealing little-known tidbits as she whips up one of her own special recipes.
When cooking with Yorkshire-born Queer Eye star Tan France, Meghan reflected on life back in Britain, and said she misses listening to Magic FM. Yes, that Magic FM—best known for playing 80s bangers and nostalgic tracks (and likely what your mom puts on when you’ve got a long car journey).
Surprised? Us too—as was Tan. Upon dropping that massive bombshell, the television personality told Meghan: “That’s such a grandma station,” to which Meghan replied: “I’ll be that grandma!”
Meghan previously lived in the UK between 2017 and 2020. She married Prince Harry in 2018, with the pair living in Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage. The Duchess welcomed Prince Archie in 2019.
However, the Sussex family decided to step back from frontline royal duties in 2020, which prompted their move to Montecito, California. There, they welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet, in 2021.
With Love, Meghan is just one of a series of shows produced by the Sussexes as part of their wider deal with streaming giant Netflix.
Other series include the controversial Harry and Meghan documentary, which told of the pair’s special love story, and their decision to step back from royal duties.
Other projects include Polo, an in-depth look at the elite sport that Prince Harry also plays, and an upcoming project which will be an adaptation of best-selling novel Meet Me at the Lake by Carly Fortune.
“My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision,” Meghan said, when commenting on the new slate of shows in the works.
