Tom Holland is booked and busy. On top of staring in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, the actor is gearing up for Spider-Man: Brand New Day—and teased a huge change to the film.
Speaking to Flip Your Wig (via Variety), Tom said that Brand New Day will lean into old school filmmaking, which is a massive switch-up considering Spider-Man: No Way Home was largely shot on stages.
"I’m obviously over the moon and so excited," Tom said. "Playing Spider-Man is like hanging out with an old pal, and I think we were really restricted with what we could do in the last movie because of COVID. We shot the entire film on stages. Now we’re really gonna lean into that old school filmmaking and shoot in real locations, which is why we’re starting in Glasgow."
Tom went on to tease that "We are gonna use the streets of Glasgow for this massive set piece that we are putting together. It’s gonna feel like making [‘Homecoming’] again. It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air. I think the fans are going to be over the moon with what we’re putting together."
Not much is known about Brand New Day plot-wise, but it's expected to drop in summer 2026 (July 31, specifically) and stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink in her Marvel debut.
