Update: Not long after reports emerged about the maybe-romance between Tom and Sofía, sources for TMZ denied relationship rumors, writing that Tom and Sofía "aren't dating, and it's not a romance."
A source for the Daily Mail also weighed in, claiming Tom is "not looking to be settled down right now." The insider added, "He sees Sofía as beautiful and his type, but he isn't going to start a relationship with her as she is older and stuck in her ways. He knows he could only take her in small doses."
A rep for the QB later said that Tom "would never" call Sofía "too old." In a statement to People, the rep noted: "Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction." Interestingly, the rep neither confirmed nor denied the romance rumors themselves so...tbd!
Original story: There's a new celebrity couple on the loose in Ibiza! Tom Brady and Sofía Vergara are reportedly having a "summer romance" in Spain after meeting at the launch of the Ritz-Carlton's Luminara superyacht—where Tom specifically requested to sit next to the Modern Family star.
A source tells Page Six that Tom "asked to switch seats to sit next to her at dinner," and the outlet also reports that they were "googly-eyed over each other" all night. And yes, there's a pic, courtesy of Sofía's Instagram:
Oh, and apparently the pair kept hanging in Ibiza after the yacht trip concluded! Honestly very here for them as a couple.
Quick reminder while we're talking about this: Sofía recently spoke to the Today show (per People) about dating, and revealed exactly what she's looking for. "I want to say the basic stuff, like health and somebody that loves me," she said. "And somebody tall, handsome. I want somebody that has as much money as me or more, because if not, it’s a nightmare. They end up resenting you."
Literally she might as well have been describing Tom Brady. And by the way, a source told Entertainment Tonight back in March that he's "been casually dating," and "is not completely closed off to the idea of getting married again but isn't sure what the future holds." In case you were wondering!
