Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted reuniting on a $500 million mega yacht just days after announcing their split, but apparently the vacation had been planned well before the breakup took place.
According to the Daily Mail, Katy and Orlando had "long-laid plans for a summer holiday in Italy with family and friends"—including recently-married Lauren Sanchez (who is said to have joined them for a brief lunch on their yacht) as well as Orlando's sister, manager, and son.
The outlet also claims that Katy and Orlando had already split when Orlando visited her in Australia last month, and that—while things have been "dire" since April—the couple are committed to spending time as a family.
Katy and Orlando's post-split trip honestly shouldn't come as a huge surprise to those who read their breakup statement, which went like this: "Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
As for why they ended things, a source recently told People that they've "been suffering through the same problems that have plagued them for years. [They had] too much going on in their lives, which makes it hard to find time for each other and iron out disagreements. When they don't communicate properly, their relationship dips to a low level."
