Kylie Jenner has been a fixture at Timothée Chalamet's side throughout the 2025 awards season, typically skipping the red carpet and showing up next to him in the audience. But the reality star wasn't in attendance at the 2025 SAG Awards on Sunday night.
While Kylie hasn't released a statement explaining her absence, the Daily Mail reports that 2025 SAG Awards took place on the same day news of the tragic passing of her long-time hairstylist and friend, Jesus Guerrero, broke.
Meanwhile, Timothée, attended the event with his mom, Nicole Flender, who he hugged before hitting the stage to accept the Best Actor award.
"I was not expecting this at all, truly. I'll start by thanking my mother who I'm here with tonight," the actor said in a sweet speech. "She has been working at Actors Equity for 40 years, the stage union. And I'll quickly run through this, you know. I know the classiest thing would be to downplay the effort that went into this role and how much this means to me. But the truth is this was five and a half years of my life. I poured everything I had into playing this incomparable artist, Bob Dylan, a true American hero, and it was the honor of a lifetime playing him."
Timothée also noted that he "can't downplay the significance of this award, because it means the most to me. And I know we're in a subjective business. but the truth is, I'm really in pursuit of greatness. I know people don't usually talk like that, but I wanna be one of the greats. I'm inspired by the greats. I'm inspired by the greats here tonight."
