Though we’re used to seeing him at least once a day on our TikTok FYPs, spotting Harry Daniels IRL at the 2024 Club Cosmo Awards—in partnership with UTA Next Gen at ZCON—was nothing short of a pinch-me moment...that included a mini performance of Ice Spice's "Phat Butt."

Ahem:

Harry was at the ceremony to accept an award for the Embracing Main Character Energy trend as part of Cosmopolitan and UTA Next Gen's Club Cosmo list of trailblazing creators, brands, and trends. The awards ceremony celebrating him went down during ZCON, the first-ever conference with only Gen Z speakers in NYC with creators, change-makers, and thought leaders.

Thirty-six honorees were recognized during a special ceremony, and Harry certainly deserved the kudos. Since uploading his first TikTok, he’s garnered nearly 2 million followers, was just spoofed on SNL, *and* has made his first foray into the music biz.

“Although it’s become clear now that I’m trolling, my logic is it’s no different than when you drive past a car accident on the highway. After sitting in so much traffic because people keep rubbernecking and can’t look away, you realize people are really attracted to disaster,” Harry mused when speaking to Cosmo for the Club Cosmo feature.

During a recent interview with People, the content creator also detailed the importance of putting yourself out there. “I understand that the only real way to make yourself stand out is via social media. It’s like a democracy in that way,” he mused about his “concise plan to get where [he] wanted to be.”

Needless to say, it worked. Seven years and many, many TikToks later, Harry has not only performed for his musical idols but also finally dropped his debut single “I’m Him” on October 17!

“I think the intention with this one is to show that I’m capable and that I have some sort of musical prowess, some sort of musical capabilities and that I know what I’m doing more than anything,” he explained to People. “I definitely want it to just be something fun that people can really just have a good time and that’ll break the ice for future releases.”
