Today in potential collaborations no one was expecting, fans are spiraling thanks to pictures of Stranger Things star Joe Keery leaving what appears to be a Taylor Swift studio session. At least judging by photos that popped up on Splash News and were captioned, “Actor Joe Keery Exits Taylor Swift Studio Session and Stops for Taylor Swift Fans at El Studios” by the photo outlet.
Obviously, Joe’s name started trending as the internet entered into a state of:
But before you get too excited, there are three things to note here:
(1) In addition to being an actor, Joe Keery is also a musician. You just might not realize it because he typically wears a disguise while performing and uses the alias Djo. As he put it, “Initially, it was just a way to kind of throw people off the scent that it is me and to kind of detach myself from the connection—or just music from the connection—to the show or anything like that. And what it’s turned into is just a really fun character to perform onstage live. And it allows me to be less self-conscious, I think—and it’s sort of like an element of surprise too.”
(2) Joe’s Stranger Things costar Sadie Sink is close to Taylor, as we know ~all too well~.
(3) Despite all that ^^^ and the photo caption, it remains very possible that Joe was simply in the studio at the same time as Taylor and everyone is jumping to some serious conclusions.
