Gather round, chronically online fashionistas. Whether you’ve got a major crush on Emma Chamberlain (trust, we’ve all been there) or are still majorly grieving her breakup with Role Model (trust, we’ve all been there and we’re respectfully streaming Kansas Anymore), we know how you stumbled onto this side of the internet. What you’re really here for is to see who Emma’s dated over the years, especially given the recent news that she’s back on the market.
So, alert your group chats about her relationship status and get ready to scroll—here’s Emma Chamberlain’s full dating history (including some rumored romances), for your viewing pleasure.
2018-2019: (Maybe) Ethan Dolan
Once upon a time, there was an era when YouTubers reigned the web and everyone was locked in to Emma’s frequent collabs with the Sister Squad, which included beauty mogul James Charles and the Dolan Twins, Ethan and Grayson.
While these two never really confirmed or denied whether they were an item, their subscribers were keen on their chemistry and became hardcore Ethma shippers. (Side note: If that ship name awoke you like a sleeper agent, it might be time to add some retinol to your skincare routine.)
Not to mention, Emma played coy when asked if she was dating anyone at the time. “I don’t know if that’s a good question to ask. If I hadn’t said it yet, why would I say it now?” she said, per Us Weekly.
Moving on!
2019-2020: Aaron Hull
In November 2019, Emma uploaded a YouTube video titled “Learning How to Skateboard to Impress a Boy,” and the boy in question could very well be content creator Aaron Hull, since his Instagram is basically a bunch of this:
Emma also seemingly confirmed their romance years later, when she explained how she slid into Aaron’s DMs on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast. (Without naming names, of course.)
“I said something like, ‘You’re so funny,’” she shared, which lined up with another clip of Aaron saying, “I received a DM from Emma, and she’s like, ‘I love your TikToks, they’re so funny.’”
In September 2020, Aaron confirmed that he and Emma had dated for nearly five months before breaking up.
“Distance and everything, the formula was just too hard. I think, from my point of view,” he explained in a YouTube video at the time. He also confirmed that infidelity didn’t lead to the end of their relationship, adding, “No, I did not cheat on Emma, and I would not ever want to have a bad ending with Emma, but at that point, it was out of my hands.”
2020-2023: Role Model
Perhaps this is Emma’s most high-profile romance (and the one that still has fans in a chokehold). Emma and musician Tucker Pillsbury—aka Role Model—were romantically linked in 2020, when he stumbled upon a video of her twerking on his TikTok FYP.
“For some reason—I don’t know why, had nothing to do with the twerking, I’m not a fucking creep—but it showed her personality,” he told GQ of their meet-cute.
The pair remained extremely low-key until they stepped out for their first red carpet appearance at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. The following year, they posed for a joint GQ Hype cover and dished all about their relationship in a couples quiz.
During said interview, Tucker even revealed that he wrote a handful of songs (including “blind” and “neverletyougo”) about the Chamberlain Coffee founder. Much of his recent album, Kansas Anymore, is also heavily speculated to be about his relationship with Emma after they broke up in October 2023.
“I don’t have an ounce of anger in me… I think it shows in the album; it’s pretty much [me] just beating myself up,” he told Vanity Fair at the time. “I don’t think it would be any news to her. I would never want to hurt someone’s feelings with my music. I don’t have that in my brain or heart.”
As for the reason they broke up, Tucker told The Zach Sang Show that his unhappiness in Los Angeles and homesickness had a lot to do with the end of their romance.
How! Ever! Fans fully freaked out in November 2025, when Emma promoted her appearance on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast by dancing to “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”
(Are we delusional for hoping Emma actually comes out as Tucker’s Sally one of these days? Asking for a friend.)
2024-2025: Peter McPoland
This finally brings us to Emma’s most recent boyfriend, Peter McPoland, who also happens to be a musician. Like her other relationships, Emma and Peter kept things pretty private, for the most part. Before they were even romantically linked, Peter included snippets from Emma’s YouTube channel in the music video for his song, “Blue.”
When asked why he decided to do so during a November 2023 interview on The Zach Sang Show, he claimed he was a “big fan” and expressed he didn’t have interest in dating her (lol). “No, I love her in business. I appreciate Emma Chamberlain so much. I appreciate what she's done,” he explained, adding, “She’s an icon to me.”
A few months later, fans took notice when they went to the Kilby Block Party music festival in May 2024 and uploaded footage to TikTok:
Emma and Peter also went to the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside Emma’s dad (pictured ^^^ up there). It wasn’t until Halloween that they sneakily soft-launched their relationship with separate Instagram posts showing off their coordinating costumes as Wallace and Gromit.
In November 2025, Emma confirmed that she and Peter were over, as she noted she had been “going through a breakup” after being in a “serious relationship that was two years long” during an episode of her Anything Goes podcast. “We really deeply loved each other,” she said of the connection, adding that their split was amicable.
There ya have it!
