While Outlander is preparing to take its final bow this spring (I’m crying), the prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, is returning this fall to fill the void. Starz just released the first look photos and teaser for season 2, and they seem designed to make fans fall into a spiral. The official description for season 2 is: “As season 2 unfolds, the two young couples will be tested and separated by forces beyond their control, as every clan chooses a side in the rebellion.”
When will Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 2 come out?
We know that it will be this fall, based on a teaser trailer that went live earlier today. We’ll have to wait for anything more specific than that.
The photos:
Starz released two images of season 2. The first is of Julia and Henry at the stones, which is where we left them before the flashback at the very end of season 1. So it appears as though we’ll pick up right where we left off with them. Will either of them make it through? Both of them? We’ll have to wait to find out.
And the second is of Brian and Ellen in an intimate embrace. This looks like the same bothy they were hiding out in at the end of season 1. Hot!
What will the plot of season 2 be?
It’s hard to tell exactly what will happen, but we can get an idea from the teaser trailer. We see Julia and Henry both in the present (with little Claire, who looks to be older than she was in the flashback at the end of season 1) and then the past, at the stones. We see Ellen and Brian preparing for war. There’s what looks like an epic party about halfway through the teaser. And Ellen says, “You will come back to me,” at the end. Let the sleuthing begin!
