Fans got their hopes up for a potential relationship rekindling after seeing Ben and Jen reunite at the Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere. (Jennifer’s performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman has already garnered her some major Oscar buzz, while Ben was an executive producer on the film.) And while they may have been all smiles on the red carpet, sources say that’s all it was: a red carpet.
“There’s no romantic reunion with Ben,” a source told People when asked about their relationship. In other words: They aren’t beating the PR stunt allegations anytime soon. Though, let’s face it: Isn’t a tension-filled PR stunt what we want from these two anyways?
According to the source, Jennifer is busy and “focused on things that make her happy—family and work.” And she and Ben are keeping things professional this time around. “She always enjoyed working with Ben, this hasn’t changed,” the source continued. “They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other. They’re both proud of what they accomplished together.”
Speaking to reporters at the Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere, Ben praised J.Lo’s performance. “Jennifer is incredible in this movie,” Ben told E! News. He continued, calling the project “the maximum level of difficulty for a performer,” adding that Jennifer pulled it off with “grace and aplomb.”
