Ever since Wicked came out fans have been counting down the days until the next part of the story hits the big screen. And while we still have a little bit of a wait, that doesn't mean that we don't already have some details as to what to expect. After all, it is based off a hit Broadway show and we've already gotten the chance to see bits of it in some of the earlier trailers. So what can we expect? Well, we won't spoil it all but at least we can share what we already know!

Here's everything you need to know about Wicked: For Good.

Wait, it has a brand new name?

Yes, the second half of Wicked is no longer just called Wicked Part Two. In fact, it's now called Wicked: For Good. The name is also one of the final songs in the musical that we won't spoil for you, but will absolutely make you emotional once you get to see it.

When will Wicked: For Good be released?

While the Broadway version only has a small 15-minute intermission between act 1 and 2, things are working a little bit differently for the film's release. The first part is out now, while Wicked: For Good will be released on November 21, 2025. So that's about exactly a year wait between both films. The countdown has already started!

What will Wicked: For Good be about?

That's a much easier question to answer! You can actually find out for yourself if you decide to see the show in-person. But if you can't, then you can actually listen to the original show's soundtrack to find out what happens next. But without spoiling much, we can already tell you that the next film will follow the show's second act. Warning: bring some tissues.

Are there new characters coming?

If you know your Wizard of Oz lore, then you should know that a certain character will definitely be making an appearance. After all, she also appeared in the beginning of "No One Mourns The Wicked" in Wicked. However, who exactly is playing her has been kept under wraps so guess we'll have to wait and see!

Is there a trailer at least?

Unfortunately, no and the first film didn't include a post-credit scene, so we didn't get a special sneak peek on there either. But some fans have noticed that some of the movie's original trailers included parts of part two, so you can check them out to get some new clues of what we haven't seen just yet.
